Holy crap! Just to drive home the unbelievable incompetence of this administration, our eggs are up to $15 a dozen and rising (3 times their pre-felon cost), in Mexico, a dozen eggs is well under $2!
Expect all food to be similarly overpriced. Just because the tariffs were dropped (except from China) doesn’t mean the trade war is over…Mexico, Canada, and China have all curtailed their orders from the US severely without tariffs. Canada pulled all US alcohol off the shelves, and aren’t keen on putting it back.
Also, thousands were murdered because he suspended funding for experimental medical trials, meaning thousands are in the middle of treatments for deadly diseases which drives medical advancements, many with devices implanted, all of which were just abandoned to die.
And, eggs are so expensive that they are now being hijacked by the truckload, and RFK jr 1) skipped the transition meeting so has no clue what’s happening and 2) doesn’t believe in pandemics so has no plan to address bird flu or any other emerging disease or food shortage.
And we now know why Elon shut down USAID…not because they were wasteful or leftists, Ivanka used millions in USAID herself, they were investigating his Starlink contracts in Ukraine (like overcharging and how he shut them down at critical times to help Russia in the war), so had to close.
Also, he and his subordinate the felon rehired the active proud racist Nazi that quit when he was outed, because they both are Nazis themselves. Time for instigating that Indian hate he advocates against race traitor Vance and his brown family.

Israeli Cyberattack Explodes Pagers Across Lebanon

newtboy says...

It is a very safe assumption, I’ll apologize to umption if it turns out to be wrong.

“From all appearances”?
That’s a big assumption, and doesn’t match what I’ve seen, at least some were sold to the public including children….and all were detonated in public which means the collateral victims are 100% random. Even if they were first sold only to Hezbollah, another assumption, many definitely made it into the secondary resale market, which was 100% guaranteed from the start.
How many random bombs mailed/sold around the country by another country are OK? 10? 100? 1000? There may have been tens of thousands of devices spread around the country.

I do not acknowledge this was targeted or selective, the methodology makes that impossible and the mere suggestion ridiculous. “Those in close proximity” to the randomly distributed bombs exploded in public, or in buildings that burned from the devices, or accidents with victims that were driving, etc…. are random innocent victims even if you assume (with no basis or rationality) that the devises were miraculously only in Hezbollah hands and decide that targeting them for terroristic bombings is somehow acceptable.

Israel has a long history of ignoring the massive collateral damage of tens of thousands of innocent victims, mainly children, they intentionally cause by targeting their “enemies” when they can do the most collateral damage consistently, despite having the technology and capacity to do surgical attacks with minimal risk, and are this genocidally barbarous when defending themselves from mostly rock throwing children and fireworks and an occasional gunshot on a damage/death scale <1% what Israel returns.

This act again makes the Israeli government a terrorist government, this was a massive terrorist bombing, no matter what the objective, and likely another war crime. We should in no way be supporting or defending a terrorist nation that is under legitimate criminal accusations of war crimes from international courts. It’s not difficult.

Alot of assumptions there though...

First that it even was Israel. Which seems a reasonable assumption though.

My big difference with you though is around being untargeted. From all appearances the affected devices appear to have been almost entirely in the hands of Hezbollah members. That makes the better assumption that Israel(or whomever is responsible) actually was able to distribute the devices directly to Hezbollah itself for internal distribution.

Say what you will about the attack, but 'untargeted' seems a poor descriptor. Heck, even carefully planned out sniper operations on the same number of enemy operatives would likely have a higher collateral casualty count. At least acknowledge this attack, for everything else that it is, was highly selective of Hezbollah members and those within an extremely close proximity of them.

A second wave of random untargeted bombings has killed one and injured hundreds as walkie talkies were targeted and exploded, many in public crowded areas with children present.
This is terrorism plain and simple. The US cannot continue unconditional support any nation that mass mails bombs to the citizens of another country.

Libraries: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO)

newtboy says...

You couldn’t read it at your current age, Bob, so what are you afraid of?

More maggot lies. Those idiots will buy anything.

This isn’t a thing, and is thoroughly debunked, just like everything idiot bob posts.
Maggots have been doing this for years. Lying about what’s in libraries to excuse their total censorship of anything they find distasteful, but it’s not about the sex or violence ever because every single book banner and burner supports teaching the Bible in schools with its graphic sex, rapes, murders, torture, support for slavery, capricious god, constant repeating incest at its core, baby killings galore, etc.

Books similar to this are sometimes (rarely) found in a special area for upper class men at high schools in advanced creative writing classes, or colleges.
This has been debunked repeatedly. You maggots are constant liars. If he “found” it “at the entry door” in the middle school library, it’s because he or his dad brought it there just for this performance. Who honestly believes a middle school librarian gave a pillow book (look it up Bob) to an 11 year old and asked if he would like the graphic novel version (something that’s not a thing btw, written pornography isn’t released in multiple versions).
I don’t think he’s ever been in a library, because people who use libraries know you check out books, you don’t rent them out. They also know English better than these …people.
This ridiculous video itself is years old…he’s talking about masks too.

I would point out that this kid almost certainly has a cell phone, so he has total unfettered access to real pornography of much more deviant and graphic varieties than a slightly titillating story. Except for the Amish, no parent in America has a leg to stand on when it comes to providing pornography to their children, they give them porn access devices at under 7 now.

And another idiot covid denier, shocker. Somebody shoot this terrorist idiot and the rest. Hatriots are not patriots.
Just like every bob post, it’s more prejudice wrapped in hypocritical lies smothered in ignorance. His favorite meal.

Thoughts and Prayers vs Drowning

newtboy says...

This is why priests across the country are worried…their parishioners are coming to them complaining that they keep talking about how woke Jesus was, and they’re sick of it.

You might be surprised to know that there is apparently now no federal ban on grenades, grenade launchers, or rocket launchers (just license requirements)…or tanks (easy to find if they’ve been decommissioned, legal to own fully functional with a federal explosive/destructive device license), or fighter jets (again, fairly easy to buy old models without the guns and missiles, but it’s not strictly illegal to make them if you can get the license).
A nuke is illegal to build, even offshore. You finally found the limit of America’s tolerance for civilians owning WMD’s.

If people read the NT, then they'll know Jesus is more of a SJW progressive/activist than what half of the US - the right leaning people - say Jesus is.

What gives a "law abiding" citizen the right to bare mass killing machine guns? Or owning hundreds and thousands of ammo in a home? For self-defense? Is that necessary? Really it's just a twisted sense of entitlement/freedom or some kind of nihilistic fetish. You know, I have the crazy "Borat" idea that if I'm an American (I'm Canadian, so I don't have the "right" to do anything directly), I'd troll the far-right Republican cultists using my Christian "credential" to demand my right to bear ANY arms... like anything from bombs, grenades to tanks, fighter jets and nuclear missiles as a private collection as long as I can afford it (Hooray, Capitalism!). It's my freaking "God"-given right! Carry the selective 2nd amendment reading to the extreme to see how ridiculous the status quo already is! ... But the thing is, I'm not sure anymore if there already IS a critical mass of far-right crazies that really believe what I said make total sense.

Birds Aren’t Real On Fox News

luxintenebris jokingly says...

Am neutral on this issue of robotic crows & such -but someone mentioned starlings.

Starlings are not natural.

1) The iridescent color is an illusion
2) They can and have spoken in English & other tongues
3) A pair raised a brood in a tree next to the house & rarely made noise

None of this is normal bird behavior.

1) am told their plumage (notably the ' iridescence') has no true pigment but the structure of their feathers. Could be that it's a cloaking device since we don't always see them around.

2) if they can speak in captivity, they must while in the flock, if only to keep their English (et al) sharp. it's proof that they hear and understand us. handy for data gathering.

3) Since the pair near us have raised littles & they only 'buzz' when ma or pa show up with Grub Hub - it suggests they are covert creatures. a trait common in spies. [also, mysteriously two of the house cats have gone missing just before they moved in.]

not saying ALL birds are bots - but if there is a place to start an investigation - Starlings are the best bet.

How do we know that they weren't behind this obvious attempt at propaganda. as if falling in love is akin to being in a murmuration...

Biden Smiden - investigate Starlings.

Woman's front yard cactus suddenly shoots up 25 feet

I have (self diagnosed) aphasic anomia. I have tried every trick in the book, mnemonic devices, repetition, association, etc. repeatedly writing it down helps me a little, but I have had trouble remembering my wife and my brother’s names…it’s not about not remembering the name, it’s a problem with recalling them on command and getting a blank, which triggers a little panic, which makes recalling the name more difficult, triggering more panic….it’s embarrassing.

The same thing happens to me with words, it’s why I often speak differently and get accused of being intentionally erudite. I know the concept I’m trying to convey, but the words are just lost. I have more trouble recalling short easy words than longer, more advanced/difficult words, so I often come across as “high falutin”, but really I’m just trying to communicate as clearly as possible considering my issues.

I like PBS documentaries. I can’t recall if “The bat man of Mexico” was a NOVA episode or a one of (I checked, it was a Nature episode- https://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/about-bat-man-mexico/25220/), but I’m pretty sure that’s where I learned that bit of useless trivia. He tracked the bats by making their poop glow!

I am completely useless for remembering people’s names, and barely hit and miss with dates, but useless information sticks OK.

Burden of Proof | Chilling One-Take about an Abusive Ex

newtboy says...

I assumed the heavy breathing, jacket removal, and camera movement were all the woman returning to her apartment with a second recording device in her pocket and camera in her window.
I guess, with the constant surveillance from multiple angles that’s the norm in most developed countries anywhere in public, and the overlooking camera angle, I never considered the idea that it wasn’t being recorded from multiple devices, so I might have missed the point.
I was only surprised she didn’t retrieve the thing he threw in the creek. The device may be destroyed, but the recording isn’t…not that there was a clear confession on it.

cloudballoon said:

Maybe the dialogue between the Exes is not the "wait for the end" surprise. Rather it's the movement of the camera & the heavy breathing at the last seconds. Meaning somebody else video-recorded the whole thing at a high vantage point and THAT can be used as evidence?

Yes, that was my girl. She was paralyzed from the waist down for the last 7 years, but a total sweetheart and worth the extra work.

High School Senior Takes Book Banners To School

newtboy says...

Some books are not age appropriate and hence should be kept away from kids ….Like the Bible?
Some people never become adults because they had adult knowledge kept from them as “age inappropriate”, which stunted their development so they NEVER learned “adult” topics and never became adult enough to comprehend even slightly adult topics and themes….some never have knowledge kept from them based on chronological age and their minds grew to adulthood well before puberty. You are clearly in the former group.

99.999% of books on book banning lists are not inappropriate to anyone who actually reads them. Any child raised to not be ignorant, to accept differing viewpoints, to think for themselves, and to question the unknown has absolutely nothing to fear from any book or knowledge. Only ignorant, intolerant, unthinking, cowardly know nothing morons think banning books is a good idea. You want others to be as dumb and ignorant and intolerant as yourself. That returns us to the Dark Ages in a generation….when knowledge was not tolerated.

Books with specific instructions on how to make drugs, bombs, and other deadly devices that children might be able to follow, those should not be in schools. Books that deal with sex and sexuality, since parents like yourself wouldn’t teach it at all, absolutely belong in school so we don’t have a 50% pregnancy rate in high school and a 30% suicide rate.

It’s not up to you to decide what’s appropriate for others to learn anymore than it’s appropriate for me to ban bibles from churches and burn any that don’t comply. If you want children to grow up ignorant of life, send them to religious schools and set them up for failure or cult life.

bobknight33 said:

Some books, if providing such abhorrent behaviors or topics should be deemed as not being necessary of a schools system.

There are a lot of odd books out there not all belong in a local school.

Today’s Republican major vote fraud case….

“A Michigan poll worker for the Republicans has been arrested recently for tampering with the voting system following the August, 2022 Republican primary up there in the state of Michigan. The man's named James Hoor, and what happened was that he used a personal USB drive, inserted it into an electronic poll book after polls closed the night of the August 2nd primary in Gaines Township precinct. Eight poll workers used the book to administer the election, which contains voter registration data, including confidential personal identifying information about all voters in the precinct, and Mr. Hoor put his personal USB drive into that machine to, I guess, copy data before any of that information could be sent to the state or change it. So he is taking the raw data. This has not been approved by anyone. Nobody told him he was allowed to do this. He took the data from that machine before anybody could verify what was on it. Now, these machines, by the way, are not connected to the internet, so he could not access it remotely. He had to do it with the flash drive. It's also unclear whether or not he was taking data or putting data in the machine. So we don't know that. And this was again, the raw data. This had not been certified. Nobody else knew what all was in this system. And this Republican came along and compromised all of it. This completely invalidates all votes on that electronic poll book.”

More fraud, 100% Republican frauds. Every single one. Most by officials, campaigns, or the RNC themselves. Videos of training poll watchers to break laws, bring electronic devices, go where you aren’t allowed to go, intimidate workers, etc. any Republican win in November is tainted and invalidated, none should be sworn in but instead held in legal limbo until 24, because they intentionally invalidated the elections. There’s no Republican that can win without cheating, so there’s not one valid Republican representative in government.

Also a PS- Bohbert has yet to file any claims against the group that said they have evidence that she had two abortions, was an unregistered escort (hooker), and a DUI accident with injuries she covered up like she claimed she would be doing in June when th stories broke. That amounts to an admission they are true, and she’s now being sued by the reporters for claiming the reports were lies.

This as Mengele Oz campaigned with Hitler’s car right after his mass puppy killing scandal came to light.

Smoke Shop Robbery, Las Vegas - Robber Stabbed

newtboy says...

Whenever I see this I instantly KNOW these are hypocritical people with “do as I say, not as I do” mentalities. Like those who drape themselves in the flag, it’s proof positive they don’t believe in or respect the religion, they only want to use their faux love for Christianity (or a country) as a club against those they dislike.

The Bible says clearly and unambiguously to never worship idols.

"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth."
The cross is an idol, a graven image of an execution device. Definitely a thing that is “in the earth”. Any Christian that wears (or even worships) the cross is violating their own religion in an effort to wear it on their sleeve as a badge of honor and/or shield.

Same goes for flags, wearing one as clothing is seriously disrespectful to the flag and the nation for which it stands….especially when it’s done to show how much more patriotic they are…it proves the exact opposite. People wear flag underwear to show their patriotism while literally wiping their ass with it and farting on it all day as they sit on the flag….real patriotic!

I don’t understand people who do that, it’s clear to me that those who wrap themselves in religion or patriotism really have neither.

cloudballoon said:

The cross as acccesory is pretty meaningless nowadays. If anything, I hold people that wear the cross to a higher standard and near maximum punishable sentences for offenses, NOT automatic trust that these people will do good. Quite the opposite, should be more suspicious. Could be hiding something, use the cross as a facade.

As you may know/remember, I hold myself to be a Christian, the progessive kind that Jesus asked us to be. Not the American Evangelical regressive BS proud-to-be-a-hypocrite kind. I hope not.

Thoughts and Prayers - A Randy Rainbow Song Parody

cloudballoon says...

Obviously.

We all as human being need to put organized religion, and the auxiliary religious fanaticism, where it belong, while not realistically possible to the dust bin (it's too useful a device for war, conflict, greed & power for those that seek them), but at least to a place where it does not harm. Right now, and since the dawn of time, organized religions all over the world did a lot of the opposite and never owning up to it.
