And let's not forget the wonder of the Big Society, a drive to get charities and community groups to take over the running of the public services that the ConDem government are cutting. For free. Dressing up the withdrawal of public funds as a drive to get communities running is a piece of doublethink so gobsmackingly insulting that I don't think people can even comprehend it. It's a classic Big Lie, straight from Nineteen Eighty-Four.

I did stay on topic in my initial post, stating that I think it's more important to focus on the problems at hand than on the question of who caused it. I mean most educated people realize that Obama is heavily burdened by Bush's legacy. Not sure who you're trying to convince here, especially considering the extreme left leniency of this community.

But when you took my statement as a reason to attack me and call me stupid, did you want me to just agree? Not sure what DFT and joedirt have to do with it, should I be flattered or creeped out by your eStalking? It's true that I bit my tongue on some occasions when I was still working on the site, because I felt it was the right thing to do. Now however, I do respond to people crying about a down vote, crying about me posting a possible dupe, or simply crying because they have an attention deficit, or whatever the hell your problem is. I believe that TARP and ARA (The Stimulus) are balancing against Bush's tax cuts for now, but when the effects of those two subside, then there's nothing to counter those tax cuts any longer, hence the growing of the percentage of the total defecit.

WP: Never in the history of this country has there been a "limited government" GOP. Never. Not once. They never "abandoned" the idea, because they never cared for it in the first place. In fact, they have not only believed in the opposite, but their policies have always been the exact opposite. In my lifetime, government grows like wildfire every time there's a GOP preznit. Defecits blow up, more and bigger government intrudes on our lives, and bits of the constitution are erased.

1 - California is and has been controlled by some of the most rabid members of the GOP for decades. Even as a minority party, with Prop13, we're fucking doomed. QM is 1000% FAIL on this one.

2- Winstonfeld is also 1000% FAIL. The last three GOP preznits have all increased the defecit, while massively inflating the budget.


Every single motherfucking graph on the planet shows that Reagan was an economic and job-creation nightmare, as was Bush I and Bush II. While Clinton, was not. He actually boosted the shit out of the economy, cut taxes (Reagan raised them) and created the fuck out of some jobs.

The notion of "fiscal responsibility" when it comes to conservatives is a fucking laugh riot. I mean hell, I can call myself an 80 foot woman, doesn't mean it's true. But, I guess QM/WP would rather live the lie, which is weird since they both seem to be very smart people.
