My brother-in-law had his own Suzuki Motorcycle dealership. He was importing bikes that came in these awesome red mahogany crates. He was kinda disgusted that it was assumed they would throw away or burn the crates. So, he made my sister a dinning room table out of the planks. Fully expandable top with a herring-bone design and zig-zag shaped inserts.

This was back when full-size VHS was the norm for video cameras, so there's no video of the build. He's kinda focused when he does that sorta thing, so there's only completed photos, no during stuff.

problem is the video doesn't show anything but two numbskulls arguing. She does appear to admit to the speeding, but what's actually going to happen? Is the dealership just going to ban her from the lot?

As much as I might side with the dude, he did seem like he was trying to bait her into being more combative for the video's sake so he doesn't really come away completely clean either.

So just to be clear, he's a salesman for a car dealership or something and accompanying this awful woman on a test drive, where she's doing double the speed limit (and presumably in an urban zone?).

I would have told her to slow down, and if she didn't. I'd have told her to stop the car and get out. And if she didn't do that, I'd call the cops then and there.

The first bit of advice "give yourself two full weekends". Hard to do here in Montreal because.... *puts on most horrible "retard" voice* Car dealerships don't open on weekends!
What this means is you either have to go after work (they're open til 9 on weekdays), or take days off work. So it's effectively a ploy to make you rush through the process and make hasty decisions

In fact Troutman added that Gordon himself had a great deal of involvement with the project.

"Jeff had a lot of input in this,” he said. “Not only to the car that was selected to the disguise to the…he actually tried to ahead of time pick the salesman he thought would be the best one to try to pull the prank on. We actually loaned Jeff a 1998 Chevy Venture Van to ride in so he looked like he was another normal North Carolina redneck."

That "invisible camera" was installed before they got into the car, at 1:26 It is possible the dealership was in on it and they kept the one salesman in the dark. Pretty good acting otherwise. Did he not think of leaning over and taking out the keys though?

Edsel has to be one of the coolest names ever-My dad worked as a car salesman at a Ford dealership in 1960 and couldn't sell the automobile after the namesake to save his job! Total hipster car today and hard to come by one cheap.

Just watched this on Dish Network a couple weeks ago, while sitting in a Hyundai dealership waiting for an auto-start to get put on.

Kudos to him for his abilities - I just dropped my car off at the dealership this morning - died on my way in to work. I let the pros handle that stuff.

That hurts.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I love the Gallardo. It's one of the most beautiful cars I've ever seen. And it's a crappy Lambo that's been redesigned by German engineers, so like they put it on Top Gear: "It's like a Lamborghini, but the air-conditioning works."

However, I love the fact that it's properly pronounced: "gay-ardo." I just picture all these macho dicks, driving around in their yellow sports car, showing off, yet trying desperately to ignore the fact that when they were at the dealership, everyone kept saying how great they would look, "In your new 'Gay-ardo!' That 'Gay-ardo' looks great on you! It's like the 'Gay-ardo' was made for you!"

In fact, I'd bet that at dealerships here in America, they're probably forbidden from using the proper pronunciation. Can't you just picture it? "I know guys, but if we pronounce it that way, we're never going to attract the macho-dickhead customers that keep us in business..."

Some guys will argue to the death about the proper pronunciation of "Jaguar", but there seems to be an unspoken agreement among most Lambo fans that a Gallardo is a "Gall-ardo".

I would've given anything if they drove by the accident in the video and said: "Man, that's a shame, it's such a beautiful 'Gay-ardo'." Of course, for all I know, the guy is comfortable in his sexuality, but I doubt it.
