According to an interview with the director it took 40 takes over the course of two days, and they did in fact use a rickshaw.

I noticed that toward the end, he was looking down a lot.

Holy DAMN, the logic behind these things are fucking idiotic, it pains me to know that there are really people that stupid out there. You can tell that they're reading off of cue cards (especially the dull-witted-sounding girl), and the answers are just ridiculous.
