i mean, sure, the cast is great, effects look worthy, etc.
but the other one had those, and Ang Lee, and i still didn't like it.

but, i had remembered Eric Bana, from Blackhawk Down, thought he was a good choice. Jennifer Connelly is a great actress, and i've had a crush on her since Career Opportunities, with my homeboy Frank Whaley. and all other of Ang Lee's work, i could scarcely recommend more highly. y'know?

though i obviously won't hold the odd misfiring of its predecessor, against this new film.

I believe the story is that Tarantino thought Connelly was editor on a story printed in Premiere but in fact someone else was editor on the story.

I think he was confused. He says that this guy is the editor at Premiere, but that's just MTV guy, Chris Connelly. But wait! After further research--Connelly was an editor at Premiere, so maybe it's the right guy. Connelly now works for ESPN.

Gotta agree with your previous post on your link above. She is like a fine wine...she just gets better with age. I much prefer her now than when she was younger. And you're right about the supernova. It will be Jennifer Connelly that destroys the Earth, not some silly solar flare or meteor.

Dark City is a underrated sci-fi classic, which I liked and enjoyed more then The Matrix. This is an excellent music video for the film using Rammstein track Sonne. Also featuring Jack Bauer.

Dark City is a 1998 film written by Alex Proyas, Lem Dobbs and David S. Goyer, and directed by Proyas. It stars Rufus Sewell, William Hurt, Kiefer Sutherland, and Jennifer Connelly. While not a box office hit, it has a considerable reputation. Film critic Roger Ebert is a well-known fan of the movie, having rated it with four stars out of four and naming it the best film of 1998. Ebert uses it in his teaching, and also appears on a commentary track for the DVD.

The story begins with a man waking in a hotel room with no memory, which soon proves to be but one of many troubles. He is being sought by police, who believe him to be a serial killer, and also by a group of mysterious men with psychokinetic powers. Furthermore, something appears to be wrong with the world at large: time, memory, and identity behave in unusual ways. The film is dedicated to the memory of Dennis Potter, which may be considered a useful indicator of the style of the story.
