I always make a cake of some sort on my birthday. I don't decorate it or anything like that. Just a yummy cake. I might put candles on top of it, because fire. I also make the cake for immediate family member's birthday. My brother prefers pie, so he gets a coconut cream pie. Etc.

I would never consider it a chore to make a cake for someone I love. I really enjoy baking and that selfish satisfaction derived from watching someone eat it happily.

I always get this happy sense of fuck all on my birthday. Yay, birthdays!

I'll have the mixed melon salad to start, chicken dumplings with chestnuts, taters, and coconut cream pie for dessert. And a milkshake!
