It takes more than one person to have a proper conversation.

as well this is not your baby, you post a video and its let loose into the wild and anyone can say whatever as long as it is not "breaking the rules"

I like turtles

I had a plain old cheese sandwich for dinner.

You ignore me extremely well, do it to him as well.

oh and

" chill out "

You just fucked with the WRONG McDonald's clerk.

Completely generic hyperbole.

Have you ever been physically assaulted in public before?

Yep.

I'm pro-peacekeeper (even when the person taking those reins is an out-of-her-element woman unaccustomed to displays of brutality). Watch the video again. Tell me that the McDonald's employee with the pipe was acting in self-defense and not revenge for most of the fight. To my eye, and I've seen a ton of these fights in person, once the McDonald's employee got the upper hand (and it only took one or two hits), he went into revenge mode, thus surrendering any moral high ground he may have had earlier.

At the end of the video you can even see his fellow employees try to grab the steel pipe out of his hands and plead with him to chill out.

Haha, and what I'm saying is you are stating what we obviously already know, and that my "overreaction" was not so much about the C word as it was about possibly being a personal attack towards a particular poster. Is there a reason you are not understanding this? I will chill out when I feel like it. Thaaaaaaanks.

Cops Continue to Harass Emily Good

bareboards2 says...

Remember when I said that police officers are human and have feelings? I see a bunch of pissed off babies getting even, who don't have the smarts to just chill out.

These cops are going to be in big trouble. Just watch.

The over blown nature of your rhetoric is tiring, dear genji. But go ahead. I know you are enjoying your outrage, however much it is illogical (please look up the definition of "for-profit corporation" before you use that phrase again) and hysterically phrased ("nothing but" and "doesn't protect or serve anyone").

@bareboards2
Remember when I said that the police institution is nothing but a for-profit corporation that doesn't protect or serve anyone [expect the people they work for]..?

Kid British - Our House is Dadless

alien_concept says...

Verse 1
See, my house is a mad house/
Well hardly sit down and watch T.V cause yeah we got things to do/
And I got things to do/
Mum talks calmly for a while and then starts shouting/
Clean up the kitchen/
I always say i'll do it later/
Or yeah in a minute/
My house is a hot spot/
Everyday of the week someone will be in my house who don’t live here/
The neighbours ain’t got a problem with us/
Yeah music plays in my house constantly/
Constant noise but I wouldn’t have it any other way I love my house/
Total chaos, yeah its random/
Off key, different, no house is disimilar/
But for some reason it works/
My house is crazy you know/

Chorus

Our house, in the middle of our street/
Our house in the middle of our.../
Our house, in the middle of our street/
Something tells you that you’ve got to move away from it/

Verse 2

You hold a better conversation/
When born in grimey locations/
And that’s where you'll find my crib/
In the same area where the alkies live/
So I love my street/
You get bare joke when the alkies beef/
And though outside may reek/
Not in my crib no potpourri/
And we've just added new bricks/
So every other house in the street looks shit/
Compared to ours/
But its hard to get a decent kip when out comes the stars/
Because of all the beef in my avenue/
Neighbours fight so police in my avenue/
So you might catch me in my living room/
Up late writing to beats if I’m in the mood/
Or if not i'll be on the Playstation/
Or better still MSN conversations/
And everyone of our houses are Dadless/
So no wonder our houses are Madness/

Chorus

Verse 3

Sunday morning my day off/
I can smell that bacon cooking/
And mum's downstairs doing that weekly washing/
Singing along she's got that motown rocking/
And i'm shouting out ‘mum turn it down'/
Cos i'm tryna sleep right now/
Argh forget it I was getting up anyway/
Man I can't get a lie in any day/
So i'm downstairs arguing/
Mum chill out I won't have this in our house/
Ok, your house/
Then I had a little moan how the living room's freezing/
And then she starts screaming/
Mum I ain't being rude just turn up the heating/
She said 'move out if you ain't warm enough’/
Coincidently, suddenly i'm warming up!

Jefferson Memorial Dancing on June 4 2011

RadHazG says...

Might as well throw my hat in the ring. First video was nuts. A few people doing nothing more harmful than moving in a slightly different way, not even technically dancing. Might as well arrest someone for fake limping through, skipping, or w/e. Then this thing, showing a group of people perhaps not being as brave as middle east protesters, but still doing something. This might not be big picture important, but as said before if you don't protest the small stuff, you won't be able to protest the big stuff. Not that we don't already have "big stuff" (patriot act *cough*). I wouldn't call these people brave earth shakers, they aren't hero's. Just regular people doing something small to protest an injustice. Just because people don't die over it or dedicate vast sums of time or money to it doesn't mean it's not important in some way.

All this aside, the venom being tossed around here on both sides is insane. It's a simple dance protest people. You agree with it or you don't, it doesn't make the other side a mentally deficient asshole of gigantic proportions. Chill. Out.

edit: Suppose I should add that there is a huge difference between a law that prevents you from disturbing the peace and defecating in public, to something that would prevent you from peacefully dancing in a public memorial. If those cops had wanted to make the same case against the people in this video who were making all this noise, it might have had a slightly better footing. Not that I would have agreed to that footing, but this at least could be called a disturbance. As opposed to some quiet dancing.

I didn't say anything about the video, or draw any conclusions about the people in it. I just told you to chill out a bit.

So now I'm a "dumb hypocritical asshole"? Seriously, you should check your aggression, maybe go outside for some exercise.

Internets are apparently serious business.

Fink - Sort Of Revolution

Yeah!!
In reply to this comment by Fusionaut:
First of all, it's not special status that they are seeking; it's equal status. This will fit in nicely with the whole "I just don't see homosexuals are being seperate or different than anyone else, because they're not" thing.

Second, the rules that you are referring to come from the old testament. All of the stupid rules of the old testament, like cutting off your hand if it causes you to sin, were kind of like, you know, made fun of by this dude that began preaching around 30 C.E. He had some craaaaaazy ideas like loving your enemy, helping the poor, serving others, respecting women, paying taxes, and just generally being kind to every one even if they are mean to you. He also enjoyed just chilling with sinners. It was like, his favourite thing to do. His ideas were so radical that he was executed (to death) by close minded, selfish people, that thought that it was better to oppress people than treat them nice. "That Jesus dude will cause an uprising against us! Let's kill him!"

I find it incredibly ironic that it is the atheists that I know who actually live humble and caring lives that are closer to Jesus' teachings than the so called Christians who are only selfish beings, interested in what Jesus can do for them, i.e. granting them eternal life.

So, if you're going to call yourself a Christian, please, start treating others with kindness and actually ask your self "what would Jesus do?" I'm pretty sure that if Jesus met Dan Savage they would probably go for a beer together and chill out. Maybe they would even get high? After that Dan would give Jesus some sex tips. Jesus certainly wouldn't condemn someone for who they love.

Happy Easter.>> ^shinyblurry:

Sorry, it isn't bigotry. I just don't see homosexuals are being seperate or different than anyone else, because they're not. They're sinners, and what they do is sin. It doesn't make them special, it actually makes them quite common. If someone is going to lead a sinful lifestyle, no one should support it.
God gave us rules to live by and one of them is to refrain from homosexual relations. It's only recently that earth has become so corrupt and fallen so far that anyone would actually consider giving these sodomites special status in society. if it wasn't so sad it would be amusing.

The Difference Speeding Makes

westy says...

Its weird i don't drive myself but i'm the typ of person thats pretty relaxed and would let people pass im not sure why people in cars go mental about gaining 5 minutes.

Just put the radio on to something chilled out get the car cozy and enjoy the ride it sure beats public transport allot of the time.

I guess people schedule there lives really tight or feal like they haven't hit a goal if they miss something by cupple of minutes.

having said all that if i worked a shitty 9-5 job then id probably just be batshit mental 24,7.

sigh

That is pretty well the same reaction I had to the lame comments. I have always driven like a "grandma" as some say, because I respect the laws of physics and realize the dangerous game you play when you drive at what one can consider, great speed. I drive even more precisely because I have respect for the rules of the road and the notion of consequences.
I think the video was a little too Micheal Bay but the message is pretty clear.
