The Last Audio Cassette Factory
I still have a cache of cassette tapes I'm not willing to let go of - including all of the released Skinny Puppy cassettes, Rossini's Barber of Saville, Caramon (Bizet), and a whack of classical (Bethovan, Stravinsky, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Phillip Glass) , the Brown Album from Bootsauce and some Pop Will Eat Itself (PWEI)
Unfortunately, without thinking, I sold both my cassette players at my last garage sale, now I have nothing to play them on....

I have Circle Jerks Golden Shower of Hits on cassette. What you state is true. Its so true. Its really the perfect format, dirty, raw, quick and cheap.
Punk sounds so much better on analog. Not even a nostalgia thing, it's true.

The Last Audio Cassette Factory
I got my first cassette recorder for Xmas in 1969, I carried it with me everywhere. I still have a large plastic crate with dozens of unlabeled cassettes I've had since the early 70s. It's interesting to listen to them and be surprised by the stuff I find on them, music, conversations, radio stations. Good to see cassettes are still around.
"Stay" by Oingo Boingo
Oh yeah, I had this album on cassette. I may have worn it out. Good times, good times.
Creep (Original Video)
Love it dearly. One of my first cassette singles. Also loved the B side, Faithless the Wonder Boy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjRxHUgWcN4
My homemade audio tape scratcher
Right. I was thinking more about studio-printed tapes rather than blank cassettes. It'll be a pain in the butt to have to transfer your desired digital audio to an analog tape then chop up the tape in just the right places so you can use this "instrument."
Perhaps he will evolve it to the point you can just connect a full cassette tape in upside-down with the tape extended out instead of having to actually slice it up.

The only problem is: Where the hell is he going to get more audio cassette tape?

Automated Never Ending War - Fortress
I'm with you. I know a "cassette bomb" is a lesser used term for cluster bomb through googling. Submunition i assume because it broke apart from a larger munition. I don't know why it was a fortress for the grass though, and any higher meaning seems to be lost to me. It was a nice animation about a skeleton bombing an abandoned metropolis though.
Uhm, am I the only one who still doesn't get it? What is a "cassette bomb submunition"? Those words don't seem to belong together. Still, I almost prefer the ending to be a little bit ambiguous.

It was plainly obvious.
Automated Never Ending War - Fortress
I cut that part from the description which I've changed now.
It's the submunition shown when the bomb casing comes apart.
"Cassette bomb submunitions became a fortress for the grass"
Great style, loved the industrial design of the vehicles, poignant setting.
But, what was the thing on the ground at the end? A really uncomfortable looking engagement ring?
Now That's What I Call Polka!
Man, I love Weird Al! I was listening to his albums on cassette waaaay back in the 80s (always loved his Polka medleys). I think it's awesome that 30 years on he's still kicking ass and making excellent parody songs.
