It's changed my life...and my childrens' lives. I used to beat them to shit every day when I would come home. After I saw this, though...I really reflected on what kind of impact this may be having on my children and the rest of their lives, so I have since stopped. As a parent of a child that age, I don't blame the parents in the least for this. They're trying to keep their baby comfortable and warm by having him in the car seat with the car's heater on. They didn't step more than 20 feet away from their car. You can't live your life paranoid that people are going to literally jump out of the shadows and steal your baby.

Sorry but I cannot upvote nor downvote for this. I've pretty much condemned any/every CoD game since MW2 due to the dedicated server and crippling gameplay forced on every player. Sure it'd be a good game for the console but I'm a PC gamer at heart. And the biggest issue is how games are played online. Yes, this game will have dedicated servers on the PC side. However, before every PC fanatics starts jumping ship and pre-ordering Black Ops, one has to stop and think about this for a minute.

The game is using the same engine that Infinity Ward made for MW2. So all the visual enhancements and little perky features that is seen in MW2 will be seen and noticed in Black Ops. However, because it is running on this very same engine, one has to take note that it is very likely, due to the MW2 engine track record, that the game will use the same anti-cheat system: VAC. Due to how integrated PC MW2 was with Steam, the whole game's anti-cheat system is based on VAC alone. And because of this, tons and tons of cheaters took advantage of this fact alone and raised hell everywhere they go. And it would take Valve months to ever issue any kind of bans on the numerous hackers and cheaters that plague the game. But even if those bans were issued out, there are still plenty that roam the game lobby looking for the next aimbot and wallhack victim to grief.

BO has many things that hold potential for success. Yet given how Treyarch is doing nothing more than simply taking the engine that Infinity Ward spewed forth and making visual changes, there's little to go on as far as something new and different. They are doing this twice now and they seem reluctant to really do anything to truly differentiate their CoD game from the rest. What good is a CoD game when every two years it looks the same? And what good is a CoD game when it's being churned out every year like a sports game?

And then you add to the fact that games are becoming more and more unfinished on purpose so that they can sell you add-ons disguised as purchasable DLC. That's not creating quality game. This is akin to scamming people into buying a car w/o a car seat or steering wheel.

In this country you had a financial services authority who turned a blind eye to the cdo's that were being traded, and/or didn't even know what these new banking derivatives were, not even the bank of England had a clue.

I don't understand your car company example..... car manufacturers give the option for an ISOFIX standard implementation in the back seat so parents can put any kind of seat they want in the back. They could sell the seat as an option as well...but why bother when there's already a huge market out there for babyseats.

I'm as much of a dog lover as the next guy, but I happen to see it from Enzoblue's point of view.

Granted, we'll never know what the outcome would have been had the officer not shoot that dog. It might have been a wet doggy kiss, it might have been a bite.

It is clear that the officer took excessive steps for the sake of his safety. My guess is that this guy had one too many bad experiences with dogs in his patrol days and didn't want to take any chances.

But I would like to point out that branding this as a 'clear power abuse' is premature conclusion in my opinion. Officer did have a reason (may not have been the best decision, but did have a reason) for his action.

Also to point out, that assaulting a police officer is a serious crime. If your dog is unleashed and bites someone, it's still your fault, and you may do some jail time for that.

So the scenario goes:

1. Bestest of best scenario: Dog runs over to lick the officer, then finds 2 cheese doodles stuck behind the car seat. Officer notices his keen nose and recommends him to be a bomb sniffing dog, gets printed in local newspaper: happy ending.

2. Worst of worst scenario: Dog runs to bite officer in the neck: 40 stitches, larinx damaged, owner gets 5 years in jail.

So why are we turning a blind eye to the worst scenario, and only looking at it from the best of best scenario as if it is 100% certain when it isn't?

The fact still remains that we could never know what would have happened if the officer didn't shoot. And yet I see people jumping on this case as if there's no doubt, but there is. What would've happened next? Nobody will ever know.

But one thing is for certain: the officer panicked, and acted way too soon, in someone else's lawn. That's no excuse.

However, the comments made by this 'oh-so-delicate-damsel-in-distress-who-had-tragically-lost-her-pet-to-this-evil lawmen' is what got to me the most.

"He could've easily gotten in his car"??? "I think he was showing off"??? Give me a fucking break...
