David Blaine Freaks Out Ricky Gervais

dannym3141 says...

I have a lot of respect for Blaine since i saw his TED talk. I don't like the stuff he used to do that was on british TV, where he'd basically look googly eyed at people the entire time. This was really enjoyable though.

Revolution - Trailer

J.J. Abrams does a good job of finding interesting show ideas, putting together a decent cast, getting a budget for a good looking production... and then leaves the shows to writers who have no idea on where they are going to take it, so it ends up a confusing mess that never has a satisfying pay-off.

I was thinking the same thing. When the preview first started I was like 'oh this is a good idea!' But by the end I was thinking 'contrite, cliched, waste of an idea with some useless Hunger Games adaptations.'

I just have a feeling this is Walking Dead all over again. For fans of that show this is IMHO but they took a great comic and a good starting point and threw it out of the window in favor of horrid acting, massive plot-holes and soap opera style cliched writing.

And people wonder why I prefer british TV. Better writing, better acting, shows actually feature mature plot lines with depth and character. Shows like Walking Dead would have been fantastic if a UK producer had gotten a hold of it.

Wil Wheaton's Christmas Present

Wil Wheaton shares his thoughts on the Kardashian's

I believe it is all done here in the States except for some remote reporting in the UK. I think it's produced by the BBC and only available here in the states via BBC America. I would assume they broadcast it on the BBC as well>> ^dannym3141:

Is this actually on british tv? I've never seen it nor heard of it. The little logo in the bottom right looks like the british one, and it's graham norton, but everyone (at least one presenter) is american and the show seems american. Also on BBC america. Or does that make it british taggable?

Evolution Explained In One Simple Line

Westy i now see your point and understand where you're coming from. I think this is just good to show how something can change from very small changes over a very long period or something, not really evolution explained or anything.
But hey, i get a twinge of pride for this being a national british tv show educating about evolution to kids

true its good to have general education on tv but it should be allot better , as a kid i would watch open university and other stuff and it was allot more informative than allot of the shows on tv now.

still do get some good ones on tv now , but i think the internet is replacing tv annyway im sure non retarded kids with an intrest in science now would just go strate online.

Great Trick by Piff the Dragon on Penn & Teller's Fool Us

FlowersInHisHair says...

>> ^Deano:

I've tried to avoid watching it as anything on ITV1 is a pile of tosh. Here instead of seeing Penn and Teller perform they judge magic and variety acts?? - <headslap>.
Granted this guy was entertaining but the crux of the show is handled with them looking at a piece of paper to decide if they were fooled? More than lame.

Downton Abbey? Best thing on British TV last year.
