How it Starts

I won't be a bit surprised, nor will I be surprised when the Bobites gloat about how brilliant it was of him to throw the nation and economy into turmoil so he could subvert democracy.

That's why EVERYONE needs to register to vote by mail, and cite CDC guidelines if a reason is required in your state. They have already said in person voting should be avoided whenever possible.

And don't be fooled, while Republicans are parroting the "vote by mail fraud" fraud, they're also signing up themselves in droves.

IMO this is all part of the game plan.

Pre-Covid, I said that if it appeared Trump were going to lose the election he'd do his best to come down hard on protests ultra hard, so much that the American people would feel forced to get out and protest harder. Just watch, he's going to keep pushing right up to September, then 'oops, I guess we can't hold a free and fair election now things are too chaotic... maybe we can try again next year?'

I know he technically can't call the election off, but there are a lot of things he 'can't' do that he's getting away with anyhow because Republican enablers don't care.

Duh.
Police departments and federal agencies have both determined nationwide that the riots, arsons, shootings, assaults with vehicles, bombings, etc are being perpetrated by right wing extremists, not by antifa. They've said so both publicly and privately.

The violence is largely being CAUSED by federal agencies and local law enforcement...not stopped by them. They instigate violence by attacking non violent protests repeatedly. Americans know it, and are overwhelmingly on the peaceful protesters side.

If this was some brilliant strategy to prove federal intervention is needed, why hide who they are? No identification at all is not how you sell the idea that the feds are above board, helping. It's great evidence of the opposite, that they're doing so much damage they don't even want their department identified, much less the thugs themselves.

I can only imagine the outrage if Obama sent in the troops against the wishes of the governor and mayor, unidentifiable troops in unmarked vehicles rounding up right wingers and dragging them away to who knows where. You would be calling for another civil war.
Just duh.

I love all this stuff. I think she's brilliant.
I don't ever use this stuff, don't get me wrong. But there are more people than you think that is into all this stuff. They don't care that it's Psudo. Sex, Natural and just frame of mind. It's not available on Goop, they will buy it somewhere else. So why not make a few bucks. It's entertainment. It''s a growing sub-culture.

I can't take most of it seriously as if it's scientific, but let people who want this stuff be, and live in their own bubbles . live and let live. I'll bet 85% of the people know very well what they are getting is just novelty, but they are having fun, and enjoying their best lives .

Thanks for the unblock link, that was brilliant.

People were foaming about the last joke without mentioning the sweatshop lead-in which was crucial context.

I'm going to add *controversy for that even though I think it overall was on point and amazing, and *dark because some of those jokes went there!

Hmm.

I think of "Michael Bay"ishness as a bad thing in movies.

Explosions for no reason. Narrative leaps that make no sense except to get to the next action. Plot only serves as a device to get from one explosion/action scene to the next with no character development or originality whatsoever.

If you've outgrown your teens and still like Michael Bay, I honestly feel pity for you. There is a world of brilliant filmmaking out there you're missing for this immature pablum.

To paraphrase, another film: Mr. Bay, what you've just made is one of the most insanely idiotic movies I have ever seen. At no point in your rambling, incoherent film were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational plot. Everyone in this theatre is now dumber for having watched to it. I award you no stars, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Isn't this basically the story of Elon Musk?

He never founded the successful companies he takes credit for. He invested in them and then ousted the founders. I don't think all the exact details matter but it's fairly safe to say that any image of him as a genius Engineer and Inventor is purely fabricated by him. It would be more true to say that he's a self-promoter who can screw people over without conscience.

That's not to say that he isn't brilliant in his self-promotion.
Tony Stark he is not.

Brilliant! I love it.

But death calls now, gotta run.

EDIT: You hold on to that pen as tight as you can. But you may want to buy another one just... in.....case.

First, I said that about his arguments....but I'm not saying it DOESN'T apply to the person.

1) Second, those are my informed opinions, not stated flatly as fact, not repeated as facts. You know that....so no, it doesn't apply.

2) Discussing anything with Bob is never self serving, it's a distasteful public service. Using verifiable fact to contradict nonsense proffered as fact is a civil responsibility, not an enjoyable privilege.

Keep off my pen.
This is my quill, and this is my pen. This one's for writing, and this one's for sin.
