Texas man strips down to make a point about vaccination

luxintenebris says...

believe the idea is that all of us do or don't engage in things that we don't necessarily enjoy (or enjoy). either for legality or decency or the stir, it causes...

- breastfeeding
- pistol wearing in town
- hats at weddings/funerals/churches
- shutting off cells at the same and more
- wheels on busy sidewalks
- not heckling the priest's sermon ("YOU SUCK FATHER!")*

some of these are up to the person, some not as bad as others, but common sense SHOULD guide sane people.

'tho if COVID becomes a public health crisis (ala Black Death-esque) they'll find where their freedom meets real oppression (Thyphoid Mary on a large scale).

https://www.americanbar.org/news/abanews/publications/youraba/2020/youraba-april-2020/law-guides-legal-approach-to-pandemic/

personally, the idea that I could end up killing someone quickly replaced my health concerns. if found someone died because wasn't wearing a mask - would kill me.

so, in short, hope any/or all of these blunts find themselves in a situation where their car won't start. and no one will help them 'til them mask up.

"just need a part!"
"not until you observe our policy of public health! here's a mask...and if you'd put on shoes and a shirt..."

bet they'd do it for their f'n car. but for little bobby or old man Thorney?

...hope a camel w/a huge lip blister kisses them straight on the mouth.

reminds me of a song...

If he is against mandatory masks he is arguing against his own case by pretending to break other mandatory requirements that make sense.
If he is for mandatory masks his (sarcastic?) argumentation style is going to antagonize people who do not already agree with him.
WTF?

Adam Ruins Everything - Why Baby Formula Isn't Poison

MaxWilder says...

Part of the problem with unnecessary formula use is that the mother can stop producing milk. The act of breastfeeding lets the mom's body know it should keep making milk for the next mealtime.

If you give a poor person a week's worth of formula, they might just stop lactating. Then they're *stuck* buying formula until the baby can be weaned from the bottle.

I don't know how true it is, but this was part of the accusations surrounding Nestle's aggressive formula marketing.

Ruin Your Day

shatterdrose says...

You say you aren't looking at them sexually yet you follow it up with how seductive they are?

Point is, which you seem to purposely overlook, is that staring is a LOT different than observing. Checking someone out is fine and dandy. Staring, obnoxiously, at a women's breasts because it sexually excites you as she's breastfeeding is just plain juvenile.

So again, if you think they should be okay with you staring at their body, why aren't you letting yours hang all out for them?

If you think looking at tit's is a sexual advance I would imagine you live in northern Alaska where other "people" aren't even near you. How do you walk around in society? Do you dictate what everyone is allowed to look at? If you really "treat people as people" you should tolerate what other people decide to set their eyes upon. People like you would have us all become androgynous clones so that no one is different than the next. I like diversity - which is another reason tits are so seductive - they come in all shapes and sizes, they're like fingerprints or snow flakes. You should look into your Scopophobia. I imagine as the world becomes increasingly more populated it will be intolerable.

Model Strips Topless at NYC Rooftop Bar

Engels says...

One thing is pearl clutching because of public breastfeeding or whatever. That stuff's dumb. Dressing up in lingerie and posing with yer tits out at a private dining establishment? Ya, that's obnoxious and should probably be fined.

Hollie McNish - Embarrassed (Breastfeeding In Public)

braindonut says...

Getting kicked out of a place for breast feeding is bullshit. Being kicked off a bus, also bullshit. But being embarrassed - I don't see that going away.

Unfortunately, we have sexualized breasts. In other societies, this isn't even remotely an issue...

I support women being able to breastfeed in public - but unless we figure out a way to remove the sexualization of breasts from our society, the awkwardness will not go away. Men will still feel awkward, because they are trying hard not to look or accidentally catch a glimpse of titty and women will feel awkward because they know people around them are feeling awkward.

If anyone knows how to not feel awkward when a woman is breastfeeding in front of you and you're trying to have a conversation with them, please let me know. Cause I've tried. I've tried hard. And I haven't progressed much further than the "forced eye contact" awkwardness that makes me neck ache with stiffness.

I guess that's one of her key points. If you saw breastfeeding as much as you saw billboards covered in tits, you might not even notice it anymore.

Excellent delivery, great message. Bravo, Hollie.

Hollie McNish - Embarrassed (Breastfeeding In Public)

spawnflagger says...

I really don't think twice when I see an African lady breastfeeding her child in some documentary, but agree it seems awkward to see white women breastfeeding in cities. Although I notice more and more public places and office buildings are getting breastfeeding rooms adjacent to the public bathrooms, not sure about UK though.

Are all public womens bathrooms in the UK cramped and smelling of piss?

Hollie McNish - Embarrassed (Breastfeeding In Public)

Fairbs says...

I agree with her points, BUT it does make me feel awkward / uncomfortable when I see a mother breastfeeding in public. Not because I don't think they should be doing it. Maybe more because I don't want to be seen as caught looking.
