Snoop Buys a Nail Gun

Ryjkyj says...

Yes her name in the show is Snoop. Interestingly, it is also her nickname in real life. Her real name is Felicia Pearson.
She is an ex-inmate that was type-cast for this role. So she is acting but this is really the way she is.

She said in an interview I saw that when someone once offered on the street to sell her a bootleg version of the show, she "confiscated" all their disks and threw them in the garbage.

She's really neat if you look her up: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1787519/#actress

I Wouldn't Steal A Purse, But I Do Download Films

joedirt says...

Jeebus, piracy is selling bootleg videos.
TV stations broadcast shows for free, so why can't I record them and put on my iPod? Name one good reason.

Anyways, it isn't piracy. It is copyright violation. It's like going to the library or bookstore and photocopying a whole book and then returning it.

Period. It is not property theft. It may be a lost sale, but so is renting it from BlockBuster. If I want the original product they are making I can buy it.

Pink Floyd - Time - Live from P*U*L*S*E

silvercord says...

P*U*L*S*E (also referred to as Pulse) is a live double CD by Pink Floyd, released in 1995.

The album was recorded during the band's Division Bell tour in 1994, specifically the UK and European leg, which ran from July to October 1994 (See Pink Floyd live performances).

The album includes a complete live version of The Dark Side of the Moon and features a booklet with many photos from performances on this tour. It also features "Astronomy Domine," a Syd Barrett song not performed since the early 1970s, as a tribute to the original Floyd guitarist.

Unlike Delicate Sound of Thunder, David Gilmour and producer James Guthrie have stated that no parts of the songs were re-recorded in the studio. However, the band and Guthrie fixed songs that had bad notes (as heard on some bootlegs) by lifting solos and corrected vocal lines from other performances as the band recorded most of the European leg.

In the U.S., P*U*L*S*E debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 in June 1995 (briefly dethroning Hootie and the Blowfish's Cracked Rear View for a week before Hootie regained the #1 spot in the US) and was soon certified Double Platinum on July 31, 1995. The album has, to date, sold over sixteen million copies in the US and was certified 8 times Multi-Platinum in the US on July 31, 2006 by the R.I.A.A..

Peugeot - Pimp My Ride

Dr_Q says...

According to a french forum about a TV ads :

"The music in the commercial is finally signed by recordcompanies from around the world from our record company Strengholt/Dureco. We publish the song and own the master to this great track by Husan called "Husan", which is storming the charts in some territories already and of which a bootleg version by the Bangra Knights already received plays by UK’s top DJ Judge Jules a.o..

The track was written and produced by two of Strengholt’s composers (Jeroen den Hengst and Niels Zuiderhoek also known as Bald ’n Spikey) especially for this commercial. The music is original, the vocal by Rajah Mustaq is original, contrary to the hype and rumours that have been surrounding this magical piece of music. The commercial already won the prestigious Epica d"Or award. "

Twin Peaks - 3 original promos from 1990

wildmanbill - I found the pilot on eBay. It has alot of Chinese (?) writing on it. It's pretty poor quality compared to the Season 1 set. I don't think it's a bootleg, but I suppose it could be. I had to look hard to find one that wasn't a dub.

As a hardcore mashup/bootleg devotee, I am required to vote for this.

For anyone interested in obtaining standalone mashup mp3s, here are some places to get you started:

Live - The Dolphin's Cry

Krupo says...

Saw him perform this live this spring at a Sony radio event for his new album. Bootlegged the show - got the audio, didn't want to be a jerk and make it obvious I was recording video - since there were only a couple of dozen people there.

Hmm - he was at Universal back then, eh? Interesting. Sony and Universal haven't merged or anything, eh?

You know, if you were a tasteless person, you could somehow mashup this with N'awlins. But that would be tasteless. Or just plain stupid. But while I'm on a stream of consciousness rant here, I must add that I'm going to try and catch Spike Lee's new joint at the TIFF...

"David Duchovny" by Bree Sharp (many X-Files & celebrity cameos)

theo47 says...

Bootlegged from a video the X-Files crew made for Duchovny after hearing Bree Sharp's song. I know the quality's not great, but this is the first copy I've seen where the audio syncs up, so it could be worse.

You'll recognize the X-Files actors & Chris Carter, the creator - but here are the celebrity cameos, in order:
Janeane Garofalo, Charles Nelson Reilly, two "Baywatch" babes, Garofalo again, Jerry O'Connell, Alex Trebek, the women of "Frasier", Erik Estrada, Hector Elizondo, Kevin Nealon, Calista Flockhart, Rosie O'Donnell & Whoopi Goldberg, Melissa Etheridge, Jenna Elfman, Gary Shandling, Dennis Franz, Brad Pitt, David Spade, Sarah Michelle Gellar, George Clooney (in a wig), Pam Anderson, KISS, three porn stars (because Duchovny admitted in an interview he likes porn), and Jerry Springer.

GG Allin on Jerry Springer

HAMFIST says...

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GG_Allin

At his funeral, Allin's bloated, discolored corpse was dressed in his black leather jacket and trademark jock strap. He had a bottle of Jim Beam beside him in his casket, as per his wishes (openly stated in his self-penned acoustic country ballad, "When I Die"). As part of his brother's request, the mortician was instructed not to wash the corpse, (which smelled strongly of feces), or apply any make up. The funeral became a wild party. Friends posed with the corpse, put drugs and whiskey into its mouth, and pulled down the jock strap to take pictures of Allin's penis. As the funeral ended, his brother put a pair of headphones on Allin. The headphones were plugged into a portable cassette player, in which was loaded a copy of The Suicide Sessions. The video of his funeral is widely available for purchase, and is an extra feature on the Hated DVD and some bootleg VHS tapes.
