Sift and Tell (Talks Talk Post)
This http://www.videosift.com/video/Reconstructing-a-famous-photograph-40-years-later is possibly my favourite. I've always loved the photo of Dylan and the kids in Liverpool (1966) and one day I was searching for it on google as I couldn't find it on my hard drive. One of the things that came up was this vid that I had never seen or heard of. Enjoy!
My PQ is rather small, but here's a gem: http://www.videosift.com/video/Travelling-Wilburys-Inside-Out . It's from the second Travelling Wilburys album (jokingly titled "Volume 3"). Super groups often fail, but when you've got George Harrison, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and Jeff Lynne (Roy Orbison unfortunatly died right after the first album was released) it's gonna turn out great.
Great idea, AC

Norman Finkelstein bitch slaps Wolf Blitzer
Heh, it just SOUNDs like a name he chose himself, because it's so cool. Like Joe Kickass, Max Power, Bob Dylan or Tom Cruise. Wolf Blitzer, the name, is fucking bad-ass.

you gotta love finklestein! and to wolf(did his momma name him that) blitzer------->BURNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
-Honkeytonk, My grandfather's name was wolf and my middle name is wolf, and I think it is a very good name. I don't think you should make fun of something that the person has no choice in making on their own, like their name. If you have any comment to make about anyone's name, why don't you comment on all those silly modern names people are coming up with these days. Wolf is a name that was common in the Autro-Hungarian Empire. Look it up you Honkey. lol

How to be Punk
hey! lets have a music in history thread inspired by how terrible this was
ill start:
after museful consideration i have to say that i agree with homer simpsons assertion that rock attained perfection in 1974 and anything that i can think of is either 1)directly and obviously influenced by something from this era or 2) influenced by something influenced from this era
in 1974 you have: lou reed and the velvet underground, the ny dolls, the kinks, stevie wonder, jackson 5, the rolling stones, frank zappa, patti smith, aretha franklin, david bowie, eric clapton, rod stewart, led zepplin, johnny cash, paul simon, neil young, bob dylan, and the waning days of the beatles... sure really really good things came before, but 74 seems like the perfect blending point of old and new. where the forces that were powerhouses and founding fathers of rock n roll met and mingled with the new wave and poof...
your turn go!
