Cops definitely shouldn’t be allowed to just barge into a person’s home BUT with that said, given her agitated and aggressive state and the way she is screaming at the person off-screen, I can somewhat understand why the cops may have thought there was an issue. Especially considering that the front door was open and they were responding to a disturbance. As a home owner myself, it’s not the way I’d have handled the situation but we don’t have the entire context either.

I think it's not likely she would have been so insistent he was barging in if he had used his key fob as he claims, but when he had a working key to his apartment that should have made it obvious he belonged there, after that I'm not sure why the police were needed.
