Vanessa JAMES / Morgan CIPRES - Skate Canada 2018 - FS

So anyway, turns out microchips are a good thing...

poolcleaner says...

Is it sad that this is how my wife gets me from out under our car? It's ok, honey, let me go get your collar and leash and then we can go for a walk. It's okay, bae, it's ooookaaayyy.

But the other cars! Scary...

Wait... honey... you say I have a microchip? What does that even mean? You're not my owner?! Babe, I completely forgot before we were married I was sold to an Irishman to fill in for a cattle dog on a ranch in Tulsa. Damn, well, I guess time for my homeward bound moment. Say goodbye to your precious Luna. Bye.

Dennis Rodman Has Meltdown in N. Korea Interview

bobknight33 says...

Its not the Rodmans of the world to affect the release of Kenneth Bae. It would be nice but its not his job. Its the state department responsibility and the President of the United states.

Railgun Test Fire

GeeSussFreeK says...

I had a random guess as well. Most of the rail systems I am familiar with have a chamber the projectile travels down like the barrel of a gun. The main problem I have heard with this systems is the problem of bracing the projectile. How do you accelerate a metal object to super sonic speeds without it destroying the chamber via friction? Some had it in a jacket that was guided by a catapult like system on an aircraft carrier. This results in sparks, fires, and smoke because of the friction involved. I can't find details on this specific gun though beyond "they fired it".

New Army Technology

rbar says...

My God. They show you a video game commercial making it cool to kill people, the latest technology costing millions and all for the better glory and "Victory" of whom? Oh yeah, Boeing, SAIC, BAE systems, etc.

How about creating less wars instead of more toys?

The Host Trailer - Amazing Monster Flick from Korea

Farhad2000 says...

The Host is a 2006 South Korean monster film, which also contains elements of comedy and drama films. The film was directed by Bong Joon-ho, who also co-wrote the screenplay, along with Baek Chul-hyun. Starring in the film as members of an unremarkable family thrust into the middle of extraordinary events were Song Kang-ho, Byeon Hee-bong, Park Hae Il, Bae Du-na and Go Ah-Sung.

Following the success of the director's previous work, Memories of Murder, The Host was heavily anticipated and hyped. It was released on a record number of screens in its home country on July 27, 2006 and broke box-office records throughout its domestic run. By the end of its run on November 8, the film had been seen over 13 million times, making it the highest grossing South Korean film of all time, beating the previous leader The King and the Clown, which had attracted 12.3 million people.

The New French-Canadian Anti-Tank Missile

Farhad2000 says...

Actually you are mistaken, the Milan is a Franco-German design license-built to BAE Systems, Spain and India.

And I believe the FGM-148 Javelin is far superior due to it's fire-and-forget missile configuration with lock-on before launch and automatic self-guidance capability.

The New French-Canadian Anti-Tank Missile

darksun says...

Well, pretty much every piece of explosive ordinance has a inertia sensor, but i don't know about a proximity sensor.

I know for a fact that the 203 underslung grenade launchers used by the army have a 20m inertia sensor, so an anti-tank missile is bound to have one.

Wiki: ERYX
Wiki: MILAN (In my opinoin, a much better anti tank missile, used by more countries and built by BAE
Systems
)
