How to make an Angry American
to QM et al: they lied. They said stuff that wasn't true, and they knew it wasn't true (or were totally negligent).
Either way, they are liars. You are allying yourself with rich liars, and making excuses for them. Nice work.
If all the presidents lied just as bad, then yes they should be all rounded up and held accountable.
What's the difficulty with that?
Some of us agree that force is a necessary option to keep in reserve, but we believe use of force should require a declaration of war, a justifiable reason, extreme provocation, and respect for human rights... that's all.
You don't go invading your oil-rich former allies on trumped up pretexts, smashing up their country, landing on aircraft carriers in front of photographers, paying private contractors literally sacks of cash, and calling it democracy. That's like a rule or something.
Iowa Class Battleship fires its 16 Inch guns
A lil histroy from Wikipedia:
The Iowa-class battleships served in every major U.S. war of the latter half of the 20th century. In World War II, they defended aircraft carriers and shelled Japanese positions before being placed in reserve at the end of the war. Recalled for action during the Korean War, the battleships provided artillery support for UN forces fighting against North Korea. In 1968, New Jersey was recalled for action in the Vietnam War and shelled Communist targets for U.S. forces near the Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone. All four were reactivated and armed with missiles during the Cold War as part of the 600-ship Navy. In 1991, Missouri and Wisconsin fired missiles and 16-inch guns at Iraqi targets during the Gulf War. All four battleships were decommissioned in the early 1990s, and were removed from the Naval Vessel Register in 2006.

Fallout 3 - 2003 Tech Demo
Yeah, I already know about the MMORPG. It's just an attempt to use the Fallout brand name to garner attention for the product. Maybe it will turn out to be a decent game after all, but that won't change anything. I'll still hate it. I hate all MMORPGs unconditionally.
As for Bethesda's Fallout 3, the new screenshots are quite beautiful, but I don't think they're close enough to show the any discrepancies in relation to the original games. Aircraft carriers were around in the 1950s, as was the White House. While the first two Fallout games took place in California, I don't see why this game shouldn't take place on the East coast. Overall, it seems Bethesda has a good general idea, so I'm not too worried about it.
Navy Guys "Pump It" on a Carrier
Tags are almost all Navy references: foc'sle follies refers to an event the air wing squadrons aboard an aircraft carrier has during a cruise. Each squadron presents a skit or video for the amusement of the others. This was probably a presented at a foc'sle follies VAW-116 attended.
FOD(foreign object damage) walkdown is a multi-daily event aboard a carrier where many volunteers sweep the deck for junk that could fly into a jet intake. This event is featured early on in the video.
Dick Dale is the original performer of the awesome guitar music you here throughout the video. Check the Pulp Fiction soundtrack for the original track.
Building the Star Destroyer (time elapsed) 4 minutes
I have to concur, building the design it comes with is ehn.
I wonder whether you could make a nice LEGO aircraft carrier out of those parts.
Cicada Killer Wasp - A Homemade Documentary
The film doesn't do the beast justice. They are, in flying/stinging insect terms, ginormous. They look like something off an aircraft carrier has come to your backyard. And the narrator needs to amend the "females can sting" line to the "females will sting." While they are good at bravado, the females will use the hypodermic needle they carry around in their abdomen to run you nearly through. Formidable creatures to be respected.
Crewman Sucked Into Harrier GR5 Engine Intake
I happened to be in the Navy at the time of this incident and everyone was required to watch this during a Safety Standdown. The crewmember did indeed survive and was saved by his cranial(a lightweight helmet, goggle, and hearing protector assembly) being sucked off his head and into the engine first. He suffered hearing loss and had to have an eye surgically repaired.
The aircraft involved was an A-6 Intruder and was not an unfamiliar type of aircraft. The crewmember simply forgot where he was for a split second and got too close to the intake. The flight deck of an aircraft carrier is one of the most dangerous places on earth and any little mistake can cost a life.
There is no better quality video, as this is all that is available from the flight deck camera at night. The video we were shown in the Navy is longer, however, and shows the crewman crawling out of the intake although no one around him is aware of this for 10-15 seconds. All in all, amazing stuff!
Crewman Sucked Into Harrier GR5 Engine Intake
Timothy: Crewmans wear earmuffs.
Wumpus: Harriers serve on every aircraft carrier in current service.
Greatest Hits: Aircrashes!
I wonder just how many human lives were lost in this montage? I know for sure several American soldiers drowned in the clip of the helicopter slipping off an aircraft carrier and landing in the ocean.
Kinda makes me sad...
