What a crappy song! and I do hate everything even remotely related with Black Eyed Peas. This has been tainted.

Also, Bruno Benassi should take that ship back to the shop, and ask for a proper flight control system. A turntable doesn't seem very efficient.

And besides, Beatmania already had controllers with keys (albeit only 7) in addition to the turntable, and that game was released in 1997.

You seem to have a hard time discerning the difference between your subjective opinion and objective reality. In other words, you seem to think that your subjective opinion IS objective reality. It is not.

Not at all , I'm saying that Evan The Dj probably thinks it still dosnot sound that grate (or if he dose he is letting the technical achievement blind him to the audible achievement) , its a good sound clarity considering the difficulty of method used to try and attain the sound , but at this point in time its not as good as it could be.

you can clearly hear that he is off beat in places , Misses drums and sounds or dose not have the play as clearly as could be possible.

Say i was the first person to juggle with 20 balls you can juggle 20 balls in a smooth intentional way or u can juggle 20 balls in a ruff and unintentional way (underpractised) , in both instances you can say that the guy is juggling but you can say objectively in instance 1 that the juggling looks terable (whilst still admiring the skill required) and that it could be done better to make it look more visually appealing.

Granted there is a degree of assumption in what i am saying As it is entirely possible that the DJ is intentionally missing beats and doing things as he is 100% on purpose but i would think this as unlikely as this DJ is spot on with timing and other aspects of scratching In other work he has done. allso he is not missing beats in the same way you get in jaz or something like aphex twin.

But to prove ones technical ablity with something that sounds pritty terable especaily in a public setting is a bit strange.

say skate boarding had just been invented and everyone was noobs but i was like a pro in relation to everyone at technical skill , but i can barely do a kick flip and when i do it looks shit , I would wait until i could do a kick flip to a high standard or in a way that it looked smooth and stylish before i showed it off in public. I would also present it in a way that would work with that new thing i had invented.

Im all for beat jugaling and people finding weard ways to do things its just strange that people go mental over something that at its current state sounds a bit pore (artist seems to have a lack of control). Im fairly confident in a reasonably short period of time we will have people that can create a sound with beat juggling that is intentional.

Im sure basic scratching probably sounded like undersernable crap for th emost part when it was first invented , and the artists doing it had little control over it but over time artists take the concept of scratching and then produce intentoinal music with it that objectivly you cannot say is anny more or less worse than othe rmusic.

and yah i get this vid is just a technical demo , but nearly all the beat juggling i have hurd thus far sounds pritty messy with allot of things that seem unintentionally off.

I dont think annyone has realy made owner ship or claim of it.

fact is music is 100% subjective , but i can almost guarantee that this guy is trying to attain beats and rithems that are alredy cultrally known to some exstent. Basicly if you asked this guy to do this again in 10 years time he could probably do it 400x better (to what he wanted) , or if you asked the guy to put together the sound he was trying to achive in a software package not scratched he would deliver you something that was more on time more clean and with more structure.

the only way you can really say if something like this is good or bad is if you look at what the artist was intending to do and how close the product is to what the end result is. Now fair enoughf missed beats and stuff not working ends up bing the final sound which in some casses can be a nice afect but if the artist is ultimatly trying to make clean beats that are on time with a turn table then the closer to a clean beat the more "skill" they have at that task.

as it is this guy is not Evan close to what sum one could produce on a beat pad , drum kit , or peano interms of beat clarity.

I have seen some people beat juggle really clearly but ultimately they could have practiced the specifc thing more or be doing far less complex beat juggling.

So as an objective statement i think you can say within some contexts "this dose not sound so good"
over time im sure the hodg podg nature of the sound will be something that people are atracted to and it will become something that the DJ is intentoinaly doing in which case the "worse" it sounds the "better" it would be and objectively within some contexts you would have to say it sounded fantastic.
