Kiefer Sutherland Sells Axe Bodyspray
I'm sorry to tell you that this one is a dupe.

Kiefer Sutherland Sells Axe Bodyspray
Interesting approach, somewhat confessional with a movie trailer kind of feel to it. They managed to visualize what sounds like a personal story and end up not even selling their product until the few seconds that count in a commercial. I was expecting Kiefer to sell out here but he doesn't end up playing the role of a salesman. He tells his story, says he'd do it differently... which likely we all would tell a similar story and say we'd do it differently. AXE adds the weak implication that their product would make a difference but it pretty transparent and almost even laughable coming on the coattails of Sutherland's gravitas.

Still, for a commercial (especially for Axe) that was pretty novel.

I agree with all of you - Reece Witherspoon is just gorgeous!
...sorry, what were we talking about?
She is gorgeous. The first movie I saw her in was one called Freeway, with Kiefer Sutherland. It was a very modern take on Little Red Riding Hood and absolutely amazing, did you ever see it?
Better with a beard (Blog Entry by Sarzy)

Oh, several. Yeah, I was thinking about that the other day. I tend to get really enthusiastic about stuff and then lose interest pretty quickly. The internet is littered with my abandoned projects. In my time I've started a personal website (with a bunch of links, like you'd see a lot back when the internet was a bit younger), Duke Nukem 3D fansite (back in the '90s), a Driver blog, an Interstate '82 blog (remember that game? Yeah, neither do I), a Rotten Tomatoes-style gaming review aggregator, a Day of the Tentacle sprite comic, a candy blog, a 1001 Essential Movies blog, a movie review site with a friend, and now this beard blog. And that's off the top of my head -- I'm probably forgetting something.
>> ^darkrowan:
How many blogs do you have now?
I never touched Interstate '82, but I had much fun with its predecessor Interstate '76. Great game, with exquisite music.
Oh, and you should do Donald Sutherland on your blog!

Kiefer Sutherland Cameo on Corner Gas

Heh, Lorne Cardinal. Probably the first instance ever of a native actor getting a non native-specific role. It's a shame really, so much native talent out there and yet there's only a handful of celebrities out there. Adam Beach, August Shellenberg, Graham Greene, and even those prominent three are lost on most people.
Oh btw, that little brown kid with a pretty face, "Jacob Black" from the "Twilight" series. Yeah, his native lineage is dubious at best. Sadly just another tragic instance of another opportunity taken from us. I guess not much has really changed from the olden days of the "Spaghetti Westerns" when courageous cowboys gunned down droves of galloping Indians, many of whom were played by olive-skinned Italians.
Ofcourse, it's refreshing to see guys like Lorne, breaking the the barriers of racial type-casting. Saw him work as an MC at the Aboriginal Achievement awards awhile back, seems like a really chill guy.
I'm not sure what qualifies as "non native-specific role" and it's been a long time since I've seen it, but what about Jesse (Pat Johns) from Beachcombers?

-Where- do I know this song from? I'll bet it was a cartoon, but damned if I can think of which one.
Check the Wiki page here, it's been in a lot of things.

That was the first or second place I looked. Sadly, it doesn't list specific cartoons...nor does any other reference I can find. That just seems like something that -somebody- on the internet should have assembled: a list of opera songs and the cartoons they appeared in. Ah well...
I can almost see the cartoon...it had fairies frolicking in the woods. Sliding down leaves and vaulting off the ends to do dives into "swimming pools" like some bromeliads. I'm thinking something way older than loony tunes, maybe from around the 30s or 40s.
