Scariest Places on Earth - Guanajuato Mexico

9619 says...

ahahahhahaha

Totally overused voice over, quick edits, sepia filters, stock sound effects with names like "metallic roll 003", "spooky whine SFX002", and then follow around a bunch of vacationing jerk offs have a little freak out.

man. The mummies interesting but the doco doesnt capture any of the local flavour - just a bunch to idiots describing "feeling some sort of energy".

But whatever, I guess it entertains 12 year old girls.

The Perfect Place To Go For Your Honeymoon (Paris Catacombs)

12028 says...

Oh damn, I've been there. Apparently they are very extensive and many levels deep. A small portion is open to the public. At the start, that old sign in the video “Arrête! C’est ici l’empire de la mort.” (“Stop! This is the empire of death.”), freaked me out but set the mood. The priests arranged many of the bones very intricately; sometimes into chairs and alters. Once you clamor out at the end there is a spooky bar with stiff drinks to help you through your fresh sense of mortality and impending existential crisis.

The Mystery of the Hexagon on Saturn

shuac says...

Oh, also.

Before the discovery of Uranus, Saturn was universally regarded as the ruling planet of Aquarius, which many believe is the age we are currently in. In Roman mythology, Saturn was the god of agriculture and his symbol is a scythe.

Saturn was associated with the 1st and 8th houses (1st house = incarnation, 8th house = death; Saturn being the planet of mortality, and hence, why the Grim Reaper carries a scythe).

Saturn was also said to 'joy' in the 12th house of self-undoing.

<spooky ghost voice> Boooogy-boogy-boogy-boogy!!! </spooky ghost voice>

Today and yesterday I spent laying in the sun (yes we get sun in ireland from time to time), and watching an airshow whilst bobbing in the water under the flightpath and snorkelling about frightening crabs Then I make it to GOLD!! Now I'm treated to a first rate lightning storm! Woo hoo!! What a great couple of days!

Thanks everybody for making this site the bestest, niceicist and funniestist place on the whole wide world series of tubes!

Driving into a MONSTER dust storm in Australia

deathcow says...

amazing, and spooky, someone needs to edit that to have a grisly "Blair Witch" style ending of blood curdling screams as they are torn from the vehicle by unseen entities

Linked my selflinks, i swear it was random

Jeff Metal: Spooky
Squarepusher: Ultravisitor
Daft Punk: Alive
The Specials: Monkey Man

Benny Page: Indian Drums (the tabla sample from Sneaker Pimp on Cutterz Choice)
Some unlabelled dubstep mp3
Mikee Liks: Loving You
Mikee Liks: Soul Deep
DJ Shadow and Automator: My Guru

I'm quite pleased how that worked out. Funny thing is i play so much Mikee Liks on the radio it became a running joke, and now even my iTunes is in on the joke.

Ahh that's the badger, the film name was what i was after, i should have looked at the clip. I'll give that a watch, i really like spooky video of video myself. The one in Ring is a good example methinks.

What what? I was just saying that I love the look of Tv screens being taped, Y'know, video of video, film of a CRT? Did you watch the Prince of Darkness clip? If you haven't seen the movie, it's a really good scary 80's horror flick. All the characters have the same dream, and that's what's shown as the dream, in the YT clip below.
