Tom Cruise Delivers Ridiculous One-Liners on Jimmy Kimmel

I was thinking Clint Eastwood or Schwarzenegger!

But yeah, the first one I could see it being okay from him. The second one, when he paused so long I thought "Oooh, he must be making it suspesful and getting into character!" Sucker am I, I guess.

Ultimately was disappointing.

Is it just me, or would every one of these lines be more exciting if delivered by Christopher Walken ?

I've always liked the Arnold-Schwarzenegger-quality puns.

Is this the American version of HIM? I heard they use a different narrator because of units of measurement between the US and Canada. This show is always awesome to watch.

While waiting for an inaugural party(Clinton's 2nd) to wind down so we could replace the removed office cubicles at a Bank of America branch just off the parade route. I was chilling outside observing all the Secret Service peeps on all the rooftops along with checking out the high class hookers being picked up by their Johns. All of a sudden I saw a familiar woman walking down the sifewalk. I looked real well and noticed her and said "Hello there" with a smile and she smiled back and said "Hi". My coworker said "Who are you talking to Joe?" I told him it was Maria Shriver. He along with the rest of the crew had no idea who she was. So I said Arnold Schwarzenegger's wife. I did work with some dumbass meatbags back then.

We Americans are all action stars and super heroes lying in wait for our moment to shine. Don't tell us that unlocking all the XBOX achievements for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 3 won't prepare us for real life combat. Don't tell us that years of tactical study from great masters like Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger wouldn't pull us through when shit gets real. Don't tell us that our weekend paintball/lazer tag battles aren't indistinguishable from the front lines of Vietnam. The best way to stop one crazy American letting loose with his pistolas in a crowded square is to have all crazy Americans let loose with their pistolas in a crowded square.

We are exceptional, and God is on our side.

The Last Stand - Trailer - Arnie is back!!!

artician says...

My parents watched Bela Legusi do it. They watched Marlon Brando do it. They saw Paul Newman and Robert Redford do it.

I saw Harrison Ford do it, as well as Clint Eastwood, Sean Connery and countless others, but there’s something that shakes me about seeing Arnold Schwarzenegger enter the era of his senior-career.

The fact aside that the concept of age and mortality will not stop fucking with me the older I get, I am super stoked he's making films again.

Total Recall (2012) - full trailer

Locque says...

I'm all for making a more faithful/cerebral version of schwarzenegger's dumbathon, always thought recall with him in it was a tragic waste. While I actually love CGI soaked violence, this does look to be a little tastelessly deployed. Could still be good though.

Total Recall (2012) - full trailer

It will be good. It looks like they have the budget to do a decent job on it.
But, I wonder if this might take itself a little too seriously? I don't get the sense of the humourous undertones that permeated (and made fun) so many the Schwarzenegger films, including Recall.
