Close Call at a Rally Race
This is one of many reasons why Rally racing is the peak of the racing sport and all other racers are pussies.
Motorcycle Racer Averts Disaster With Impressive Save
>> ^steroidg:
Fake? My logic is: other than to film the "epic" recovery skill, why else would you put a butt cam on a bike?
Your logic is not unreasonable, but this style of camera placement is used by professional racers (I know I have seen Valentino Rossi racing with a "butt cam"). Here's an example.

The video on The Guardian is better, but the Sift won't accept Guardian embeds.

"I would pay to see this as a feature."
Me too.
You would pay for "Motorbike Chase: The Movie"?
How many gears did that motocycle have?
I am no expert but from my hearing, he was upshifting about every five seconds
Till around half time of this chase scene, I counted about 35 up-shifts and maybe 3 down-shifts and then I lost interest.
What is it with you negative Nellies? I thought it was a cool short video, and I think it could be a cool full length movie. What the hell did you guys do when you watched Speed Racer and Gobots and shit when you were kids? What in your lives turned you all into such pissy gits?
"This cartoon has such unrealistic shifting. I can't be bothered with this!"
LOL! So sad...
The Cyclist's Revenge
>> ^Reefie:
How many of you who are saying the car driver didn't deserve that actually commute to work daily by bike? None of you? Thought so!
I'm a racer, and am out on the road training daily. I have my fair share of negative encounters with drivers even though I carefully follow all of the rules of the road.
To clarify, I don't feel bad for the driver, because he's clearly an ass. However, cyclists like this give ME a bad name and only will further polarize drivers like this.
I sure as hell don't want to get run over by this douche because some other prick of a cyclist punched his mirror off.
Tough Mudder - A Run Like No Other
I just completed the TM in the Tristate this past november. I've never shook so violently from near hypothermia in my entire life. Run time Temp was 47 degrees. It was by far the most awesome thing I have ever done and it was the most organized thing I've seen. 18,000 racers going off without a hitch. The obstacles range from hard to easy. The 10k volt running field was a little rough with no shirt on but the race is definitely worth it.
It's also for a great cause. For anyone wanting or thinking about doing it, I recommend it 100%. The obstacles can look scary, but there was not one point in the entire race where if you needed help, anyone from a teammate to a random stranger would gladly help you under or over it. The camaraderie is amazing. Like it was said above, it isn't for the feint of heart. It is still at it's core a 12 mile run, so definitely get some cardio in before hand but you have alot of time to do it.
I can't praise this race enough. Do it! Do it now!
Phenomenal last lap of a superbike race
The commentators are doing verbally what the racers are doing with their bikes.
