Hack your calculator to play Pong!
Good job spazzing out there spoco. I clearly stated in my edit that I realised the display wasn't the right kind when I watched it again. But quite a few simple devices like calculators *do* contain "easter eggs" normally when their rom chips are bigger than they need to be for whatever reason. If canon uses chips with a fixed capacity to make acquisition easier and they use a standard logic then it is in fact entirely reasonable to assume something like this could happen.
Of course it didn't but thats not the point. There's no need to get so angry just because someone posted a fake vid on the internet. "Oh noes! Think of the children!"
Mitt Romney Talks to Disgruntled Patron
I mean, come on! He's got the word ROM in his name! He has to be some kind of robot!
One of the worst consoles ever: The Atari Jaguar commercials
didnt the ST or TT have a cd-rom option about 10 years ahead of the pc? and they sold something like 2 of them
The best video game music ever
I have the ROM and emulator if you want them... But of course I can't send them to you unless you already own the original
If that's what you want, lemme know and I'll send em right out.
Beware computer-illiterate co-workers
angriest cd-rom drive ever.
David Copperfield Parody
yeah its jimmyfalloon and it was rom SNL ot long ago...!!!
Sewer Shark: 10 percent game, 90 percent FMV crap
I've never heard of this one, but all the FMV reminded me of a PC game called "Critical Path". There were a lot of games like this. I think game companies felt they needed to do something to fill up those newfangled cd-roms, and FMV did the trick.
Hacked Super Mario World Level Plays Itself
This is not the original game... it's a rom hack full of these kind of levels.
Okkusenman (great J-rock track featuring Megaman)
I knew a kid who had a Powerglove, in retrospect, it was completely gimmicky. At the time though, he was the most popular kid on the street because of that "gimmicky" thing. I think every street has that one spoiled kid who ALWAYS has the latest and greatest toys. Kids loves gimmicks and that doesn't in any way taint how freaking cool the glove was in it's day if you were a younging.
Don't worry looris you didn't miss anything special, after Megaman 3, the series goes downhill. I remember pairing off w/my dad trying to beat Dr.Wiley's castle...he eventually earned the family prestige of beating the game (MM2) first. The Megaman-X series for the SNES were also fantastic, def recommend the ROMs for that series. Love the manically devoted way this is sung...(also, the ending credits music still gives me chills to this day)
Edit:
Enjoy this collection of classic game endings!:

Rube Goldberg Gaming: Super Mario World plays itself
A thoroughly hacked SNES ROM, impressive stuff.
Mario on Acid - Anti-piracy Ad
psh, pirated games run better because you can run them off the hard drive rather than the slow cd-rom. Me? I'm legit now because i have a decent paying job.
Ikaruga arcade game played ambidextrously
Oh, I thought it was an arcade game. Won't find a MAME version then, but you can find the DC and GC versions on E-Bay. http://search.ebay.ca/ikaruga
(Still gonna keep my eyes peeled for a ROM)
The Hunting of the Wumpus
I had this! I had TI Invaders, etc. I even have the emulator and ROM files.
Crap, I think I need to submit some old school TI 99/4A videos!!
Speed Run of the "Mario in Hell" Hack
the zophar domain has MANY patches and IIRC one of them is called "hell".
i never tried them because i can't be bothered having to find a correctly dumped rom and then patch it and hope the game is what i want.
if you succeed, let me know
Family Guy vs Street Fighter
Looks like someone modified a rom of Marvel vs Capcom..Which is apparently somehow possible. Pretty nice.
