Hi Chris. You're 26 now... decided to go back to school to study computer science instead of just sticking with IT.... now a sophomore living off-campus on financial aids and grants... like a real person.

You still have your vaporizer. You don't know anyone out here that likes to get down and smoke.. and still do well in school... It sucks. Maybe You suck.

At least you don't live with your parents anymore... You did get laid on your cheap inflatable bed but it was kind of more trouble then its worth. Need bedsprings for comfort.

You're surrounded by other kids at play, while you try to become like the adults you admire. You feel like you're learning the answer to a question you don't know how to ask yet.

Videosift is still your magnet squirrel at the moment and provides insanely valuable experience in the areas of debate and world views. Your school work has improved because of Videosift, although you are an A student so that's a personal evaluation of your progress.

Good luck buddy... get that degree, do something to help the world be a better place, and try to be less harsh in meatspace. Also find current me/us some pot.

It is hard to break that inertia of what is. It is so easier to become comfortable where we are.

One thing that has helped me is that my good friend and his fiancé are very business minded and creative. They are very focused right now on trying to set up something that is location independent so they can travel. His fiancé has actually created and sold several businesses so far. Having people like that in my life creates an atmosphere of creativity and it a fantastic sounding board for ideas. It helps that I trust them both too!

When you get to the point that you are ready, I would recommend what I did and take a week off to fully explore the ideas. It is very easy (I have done it for years!) to think of good ideas and then they stagnate in the business of everyday life.

Daily, some times for several hours. Occasionally, I take breaks away from it for weeks at a time (3 months in one case), usually b/c of meatspace stuff.

Visits are almost strictly for videos now, though. The commentary on current events vids started to turn me off enough that I actually turned on a few channel filters to deal with it. Basically, I come to videosift for entertainment, not to have the horrors of the world bashed into my brain anymore than they already are. That part of VS has just become too tiresome. I do get the commenting bug sometimes, though. In fact, I think I posted more comments today than in the entire previous week.

Been a member since 7/07, lurked for a couple months before that. (I think the desire to comment on this video is what finally caused me to register. Wow, I was pretty angry. ) No plans on leaving anytime soon, but who knows -- PornBumber may start taking up all my time.

ok - meatspace priorities understood.

Just to clarify what the problems are:

1) Hide option ignored unless the explicit url or 'go' button is used.

2) Previously hidden videos reappear regardless of (1) after a day or so, usually right after siftbot has pushed others into personal queues.
