Nice cover! I watched the video without reading the blurb and thought the Massive Attack tag was added just because the kick and snare were like Teardrop but they were actually intending to quote it. I'd love to see a full version of Teardrop done by them.

(But only after I confer with the lead singer and get her to sing the correct 8th-8th-maj7th-5th-min7th on the words 'gentle emotion' instead of the 8th-8th-min7th-5th-min7th that she sang. I guess I'll forgive her for now.. )

Squarepusher is anything but new.

He was pioneering what would soon become "electronica" when Trent was still pushing his hot-topic centric electronic angst rock.

Tom Jenkinson (aka Squarepusher) along with Aphex and Autechre, basically created IDM (which turned into "electronica" once stupid marketing losers in the US got hold of it) back in the early 90's. He's got a shitload of releases and is one of the most influential electronic musicians of all time.

And dont get me started on the shitstorm that is Daft Punk. First of all, they came well after underground electronic music was already a global phenomenon, and second, their special blend of stealing other ppls music and putting a weak house beat underneath is pure garbage by most music snobs standards. To even mention them in a thread about Squarepusher is sacrilege.

But, there are some tracks on "The Fragile" that ARE electronic(a). The track used for the very popular 300 trailer (you could say due to that track--if you haven't heard the song do yourself a favor and go listen now), "Just Like You Imagined" really helped showcase Trent Reznor's ability in electronic(a).
This was again proved when he won (with the great Atticus Ross as well) best musical score for The Social Network, which was essentially an entirely electronic album (Tron:Legacy of the same year included a soundtrack that was also electronic by the ever popular Daft Punk).
It's some of these past masters in this music category that you find this new generation of GOOD musical artists.

In context with the complicit support of the government, the banks looted the nation’s wealth while destroying countless small businesses and brought the whole economy to its knees in a covert, clean manner, rather like organised crime.

Our reaction was to march and wave banners and then bail them out. These kids would have to riot and steal every night for a year to run up a bill equivalent to the value of non-paid tax big business has ‘avoided’ out of the economy this year alone.

They may not articulate their grievances like the politicians that condemn them but this is absolutely political. As for the ‘mindless violence’… is there anything more mindless than the British taxpayer quietly paying back the debts of others while contributing bullets to conflicts that we have absolutely no understanding of?

It’s mad, sad and scary when we have to take to the streets to defend our homes and businesses from angry thieving kids, but where are the police and what justice is ever done when the mob is dressed in pin stripe.

The song during the trick is "Teardrop" by Massive Attack. I have no idea if it's been on "House".
