It's a nice enough illusion (if old), but... "according to science an illusion has been created that will blow your mind."

Did science determine that it was created or that it will blow my mind? Was this outcome published and peer reviewed?

According to science hyperbolae is extremely annoying and detracts from a nice simple concept. Bitches.

Note it’s not just the reflection, but the direct viewpoint also switches/remains stable while rotating.
It’s making use of 3 dimensions viewed in only 2 dimensions to pull off the trick. I like these viewpoint dependent “illusions”. They are getting more intricate thanks to AI…I’m still impressed by the Escher impossible shape static sculptures.

That’s it. The economic numbers are all amazing, crime statistics are good, but it’s an illusion, things are really just about to crash and burn…

It's not quite working for me. It stays on until there's just a degree or two left, so it's possibly an illusion of sorts. Well, that or my hands are too shaky.

Nice little trick though, and the old school aesthetic really hits my nostalgia buttons.

On the back of this I decided to make my own with the lego I have at home. It's far far uglier than the one in the video, but it's got Ahsoka Tano using the force to hold it up instead of a cop, so it's objectively better.

It does have a tendency to fall over sideways, but that almost adds to the illusion.
