Boss D.J. - Sublime

lucky760 says...

You never studied your Holy Homework.

That's TWO capital H's there. All the rest are lowercase in any fucking case.

Supreme court? You are NOT the fucking supreme court of anything, except hell!

For the next 10,000 years you will shovel your shit and eat it because you're on repeat motherfucker and it just started backwards and you can't do a fucking thing about it.

The public are gonna take back every fucking thing that you took away from them YOU MOTHERFUCKER.

I can't nail it down to just one favorite. This is the album that makes me most angry at Bradley for killing himself and depriving us of more ridiculous brilliance.

"Stupidity of American Voter," critical to passing Obamacare

enoch says...

i have zero desire to see trance banned, that was never my intent for calling him out.
i simply wanted him to acknowledge his emotional response to a disagreement on a video he posted,
that the disagreement was with the video NOT him..personally.

i know this will only further derail this thread but i think it should be said.

a video is not a representation of the person.
being called out does not automatically translate to dislike of the person being called out.

a few weeks ago i did a little experiment with clickbait titles and @ChaosEngine totally called me on it.which gave me a nice chuckle and chaos was in the right but interestingly enough, the experiment worked.that video got 10 times the views it normally would in the same allotted time.

there was another video i posted where i didnt do my due diligence and it turned out to be a total fraud and @speechless (quite politely) called me out on that video and i was forced to apologize in shame.

does all this translate to chaos and speechless disliking me?
of course not.
i got busted using clickbait methodology and not doing my homework.while a tad embarrassing, being called out taught a lesson and a bit of humility.

point: i was the better for it.

trances targeted downvoting was an emotional response and he was behaving foolishly, but make no mistake..trance is no fool.he just took my analysis and criticism personally and responded emotionally.

no animals were harmed, all the puppies are still cute and kitty videos are more popular than ever.

human beings are sometimes irrational and emotional.trance should not be banned for behaving like a human being.

God loving parents give gay son a choice

newtboy says...

To me it's not about his having to move out, it's that his family is angrily disowning him forever because of who he is (what kind of idiocy is it to think people choose to be ostracized, disowned, discriminated against, degraded, attacked, etc....?).
When your mother asked you to move out, did she also tell you to never come home, not to call or contact her or the family, and that there will be no support or contact from your parents or siblings from here on out? If not, it's a different situation.
I was thrown out during my senior year in high school (got my GED and went on to college while I worked) for being behind on one homework assignment. I didn't even cry to my family about it, I just went to work and lived on a friends couch for a year. Even with that animosity, my family didn't disown me, and was there for me later in life, so my situation was also not as bad as his.
That said, I also don't understand him getting funding.

visionep said:

This is not a kid, he is a young man at 19 years old. Why is everyone so sad for him that he has to go live on his own? $60K on the go fund me site is ridiculous.

When I was 18, a few months after graduating high school, my mom asked me to move out because I was coming home to late. (Fortunately it wasn't quite the heated discussion this guy had to endure) Should I have been crying to everyone I knew about how unfair it was and that my mom didn't love me?

I agree that this guy's parents are horrible and ignorant, but I don't feel bad for this guy. He is an adult and needed to get away from those people if he was going to have any chance of not being like them. If anything being gay will help him move away from the ignorance that he was raised with and hopefully make him a better human than his parents.

Cliven Bundy Shares Some Peculiar Views

chingalera says...

You're missing the forest for your own trees concerning these government agencies and how they are used by special interests, people-Lands declared federally-owned then 'managed' in this country have been historically for public use. According to the Sierra Club: "Public lands are used in the production of oil, gas, coal, hardrock minerals, timber, and livestock in addition to being used for roads, power and gas lines, and communication facilities just to mention a few. Likewise, the Public lands are an environmental treasure house for recreation and wildlife and scenic wonder from desert to seacoast, mountain top to prairie, grassland to forest -- a shared heritage for now and the future."

Most generational ranchers don't fuck-up the land, they don't abuse it , it's their goddamn livelihood. They know it's vibe way better than the feds and their little friends....

Bundy was paying to, and had a preexisting deal with Clark County and his damn family had been cattlemen on these lands for a few generations, living in harmony with the goddamn turtles, and not trashing the place like newtbox (god you think you know what the fuckit is you know nothing about except what the TV tells you) here and others use in defense of the encroaching and over-reaching bureaucracy whose ONLY goal is to save their own interests in the rights of this land for their nefarious personal good-ol' boy club purposes.

Urbanization and ominous government with peeps with votes never getting involved in righteous decisions during the process of being ASS-RAPED from behind tomes legislation with special interest laws piggy-backed within legislation has ALWAYS been the method of politicians, licking the asses of the money-men.

If people would get an ACTUAL clue abut how the government works to benefit these cunts, they'd start to sound like people who did their homework instead of self-righteous cunts trying to sound smart.

I am happy to accommodate the cries of 'ignorance' and 'fail', heard all this shit before, so go fuck yourselves unless you have anything else to spew but scripted 'what you think you know' horse-shit. I understand that certain types of dum-basses are quite satisfied with themselves to talk a lot and say nothing but whats fed them.

The United States government fucked the Native Americans, now they're fucvkng cowboys and ranchers......No digression with land and money drunk robber-barons, especially when they have dutiful putties to interpret history to suit their delusions.

Wanna fix the situation America? Stop eating their meat. Try turtle soup, the shits awesome.

noam chomsky-how to ruin an economy-some simple ways

Yogi jokingly says...

Yeah Chomsky doesn't understand, he must not have done his homework.

Trancecoach said:

Chomsky has a poor understanding of economics with reference to things like economic calculation, for example. He does not see/understand the mechanisms of a free market that would make anarchism possible and thus keep it from turning into chaos. Maybe from a metaphysical perspective, as in karma, we get what [government] we deserve, but we should nonetheless strive to overcome our bad karma, and do good deeds such as getting rid of the need to impose on others through the state apparatus.

Highly Biased Child Protective Services Interview

enoch says...

@CaptainPlanet
thats not a fair assertion.

@Yogi is opinionated and passionate,as am i.
so if i took your comment at face value,i would have to include myself.

and i dont think i am unreasonable.
i can be passionately opinionated.
my comments can be aggressive, confrontational and bombastic but i tend to not direct them at specific people..unless they direct a personal attack on me.

i have had many discussions with yogi and all of them have been reasonable.
i find him/her to be extremely intelligent, witty and funny.

do i agree with yogi all the time?
oh hell no but if you are going to argue or debate with yogi you better bring your A-game or he/she will make you pay for not doing your homework.

and isnt that how it should be?
i will never understand or subscribe to the notion that somehow if we dont challenge a persons assertions, arguments or opinions that somehow we are disrespecting that person..personally.

i mean,think about it.
if i put forth an opinion or argument that is using flawed or incomplete information, why would you allow that opinion to stand?
to not hurt my feelings?
would you let me walk through the food court with my wanker hanging out?
or let me flirt with a girl with a huge booger hanging out?

i may get embarrassed.
may feel a tad foolish..but in the end i am better for it.way better.

to shy away from causing someone embarrassment has more dire consequences than calling them out and exposing the flaw in their argument.

you do that person a disservice and it reduces the conversation to vapid platitudes.nobody wins..everybody loses.

and really.yogi is a blast to argue with.
just sayin....

Atheist in the Bible Belt outs herself because she is MORAL

shinyblurry says...

Nothing is true

Except that?

All concepts of truth are relative

Is that absolutely true?

Everything is permitted

Including not permitting..which means you have no further argument against Christianity.

Do some homework ;-).

I have. According to what you've written, you haven't.

Your religion (Christianity) is a bastardization of "Messianic Judaism" (the crazy old testament stuff) and Mithraism (a "Gnostic" religion which was highly (& most) prevalent among the roman legions around the time of the reformation).

The earliest records of Mithraism bear no similarity to Christianity at all. It is a pagan religion in every respect. The only records you find that bear similarity to Christianity are after the 2nd century, after Christian texts had been circulating for at least a hundred years. It's Mithraism which integrated Christianity not the other way around.

Virtually everything positive you allude to in the Christian teachings originally come from Hermeticism and other such ancient "Gnostic" traditions.

Actually, they came from a progressive revelation of Judiasm which preceeded all of that. What Jesus did not teach that came from Judiasm was wholly His and entirely unique, and they came from the mouth of God Himself. The difference is Jesus Himself. You could take buddha out of buddhism, or zoroaster out of zoroastrianism and you would still have something. Without Jesus there is no Christianity.

Jesus (that is to say "Yeshua ben Yosef") as portrayed as a mortal man is a fabrication at best (and outright fraud at worst).

The Jesus myth theory isn't taken seriously by even skeptical bible scholars. There is more evidence for the existence of Jesus Christ than for Alexander the Great.

etc

The hope for the Messiah is universal in human beings; that is revelation that God gives to every man, which is what it says in Romans 1:18-21. Whether there are messianic expectations in other religions is irrelevent. Buddha, Zoroaster, Lao Tzu are dead. Jesus is alive.

The "Christ" however has been around for a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooongass time before the name "Jesus" ever hit the scene . This stuff goes back to the Greeks, Egyptians, Babylonians, Cannanites etc.

And that not even mentioning The Buddha, Zoroaster, Lao Tzu etc. etc. all of whom predate your Jesus by quite some centuries and preach many of the same fundamentals.

Ditch the Dogma and try out the approach of some other religions, you'll quickly find that underneath all the silly myths there's certain things they all have in common (to a greater and lesser extent). You'll also I hope quickly start to realise that the three major "Exoteric religions" (Christianity, Judaism, Islam) are by this stage corrupted to the point of being barely serviceable and a mere shadow of their "Esoteric" counterparts.

Then again you could always just pull the faith card on me

Most of the objections here have either been misinterpreted, or misapplied, and none of them are valid today. The civil and ceremonial laws given to Israel, and Israel only, were done away with when Jesus died on the cross. The total absence of any objection to what Jesus taught us about morality is what speaks volumes in the arguments you present, because there is nothing to be said about it except to praise it. If everyone followed the teachings of Jesus something like a utopia would dawn. If you want to understand the morality that comes from God, read what Jesus taught about it instead of playing the gotchya game with the Old Testament trying to find an excuse to ignore what Jesus said.

A Brief History of the United States.

Yogi says...

OH I have to look for a specific reference of Chomsky refuting your specific French Faggot. Great more homework for me. OH Wait! I don't care what you think. Go on believing that Slaves didn't make us rich, that's fine with me, ya Racist!

I mean it's not a complicated formula. Slaves pick cotton, cotton makes textiles, textiles made by cheaper slave labor than in Egypt is more profitable. If you don't understand how raw materials can be taken out from under someone leaving them still poor and the people exploiting those materials fantastically rich than I don't know what to tell you. Maybe read the ENTIRE HISTORY OF THE WORLD.

oritteropo said:

The farmer who held slaves needed to feed them the whole year round, but only needed workers for a short period, and possibly would have been better off hiring low paid seasonal workers (Hmm... now where would farmers right near Mexico find low paid seasonal workers???).

The expansion from east to west was, as you say, key to U.S. wealth, but only the poor south had slaves, so how do you figure that they helped? In fact right in the middle of the slavery period, right when you would expect maximum effect, de Tocqueville compared two like for like states and found that the no slavery state was richer and more industrious. Why do you suppose this was?

If you have a specific reference to Chomsky rebutting de Tocqueville, please let me know which one and I'll check it out. I don't always agree with his conclusions, but he's usually interesting along the way.

Police Road Rage

VidRoth says...

All kinds of interesting here.

If I'm understanding it right, it's a NC cop, in SC, so traffic regulation is definitely not one of his duties.

A bit of homework that makes this more interesting (though no more acceptable): There are 5 states with no "keep right" law, and North Carolina is one of them.

South Carolina, however, has a very detailed one. As an ordinary motorist, the cop was definitely breaking the law in SC (though an SC cop could have done that as part of his duty, that's specifically in SC's law).

No one got injured or imprisoned, cop quit, everyone wins. Hopefully they dropped the charge against the our driver. Best solution to a bad situation, as long as we keep it nice and visible.

I sense great fear in you. My nephews and nieces go to China school every Saturday and speak Mandarin almost fluently. China isn't going to be as much of a power player as people who are scared really believe, the way it's going to pan out is 3 blocks of economic power. China won't be a separate block it's lumped in with Asia, Europe is one and the US is another. The US is weaker but not significantly and the real threat from China is that they're not scared of us.

See when we tell Germany, or France to back off somewhere they do it, because they don't want to fuck with us. However China has been around for 3,000 years...they don't have this nervousness about them so they invest where they want and we complain about it.

Chingalera, quit being so fucking scared of everything and do your homework!

chingalera said:

They probably got suspended for that, they just don;t bother reporting everything for obvious reasons.
The illusion that these things happen everyday are only exacerbated by local, nightly newscasts. They want you to be afraid, so you will agree to their solutions to the "problem."

Gun culture or no gun culture, the chaos we're seeing is symptomatic of civilization-on-the-skids, in general.
If we had no guns, neurotics and burn-outs, the developmentally-disabled, off-the-charts hind-brainers, and morally and ethically bankrupt peeps would do it with clubs and knives and pointy fucking sticks.

Wait until China fully rears her socially-inept neurotics upon the world as they suddenly become a power-player in the world economy-You think this shit is crazy??! Try a quarter of the world still 10 centuries behind a good portion of the world's population suddenly everywhere and anywhere. A wise man would teach his children some Mandarin phrases YESTERDAY!

Or you could look up the things. You shouldn't just trust me that these are facts, I've done the homework and I'm convinced. You should go do your research. That doesn't mean you just shut down someone by saying "Nope."

So yeah, get out more to the library maybe?
