Anakin from Star Wars versus/vs. Annakin for this song.
Trooper (Storm/Clone) from Star Wars versus/vs. Trooper name in this song title.
It's a geek/nerd thing.
. This quoting gibberish really needs to be fixed.

No kidding! Let's keep replying with it. [grin]

got to love how the world is turning into something out of Deus Ex.

hackers are gona have a feald day with kit like this , the more "secure" you make a user feel in many ways the easer it is to exploit.

Its pretty much a given that sum-one will find a way to brake this within 6 months of its debue on the market untill we have decent mind reading kit the best an most secure things will just be remembering very long gibberish passwords and following basic practises for securing your data.

Fareed Zakaria Criticizes 'Disproportionate' Afghanistan War

bcglorf says...

This would be like fighting Italy after WWII... just because Italy had been allied with Germany.

I'd quite simply argue it is instead like fighting Italy during WWII because Italy was allied with Germany.

The entire problem is because everything has been spun into unrecognizable gibberish by the time it gets near the media, let alone the public. The advocates for staying in Afghanistan use Al Qaeda as shorthand for Islamic jihadists, because that makes it easier for the ignorant masses to follow. Further still, at the "Great Game" level nobody cares over much about a safe haven in Afghanistan for Islamic jihadists. The real concern is a safe haven for jihadists along Pakistan's border. The former head of Paksitan's ISI, that the US and nearly all muslim countries paid to form the jihadist armies that ousted the Soviets is Hamid Gul. He currently is an outspoken supporter of the Taliban's jihad, and formerly said the following in response to concerns about their formation "We are fighting a jihad and this is the first Islamic international brigade in the modem era. The communists have their international brigades, the West has NATO, why can't the Muslims unite and form a common front?" He's still very influential in Pakistan, and he is hardly alone. The jihadist's campaign prior to 9/11 had been garnering support within Pakistan's government, and they had made big strides. Since 9/11, when Pakistan's government responded to western pressures to reverse course, the jihadists have begun efforts to destabilize Pakistan instead. If they can't gain absolute control of the nations nuclear arsenal, instability and civil war within a nuclear state they hold tremendous sway in will also serve their needs.

And there you have the problem. Actually talking about the REAL situation in Afghanistan and Pakistan is simply far beyond the attention span of the people. They don't have the time to even hear the basic facts, let alone form any kind of opinion. So instead, the media provides them with unrecognizable pablum. It's like choosing between the steak and the lobster, but the only taste test you get is baby food jars of pureed steak and potates, or pureed lobster and spinach.

why we're bi-polar:normal life sucks

westy says...

What I was calling out was the specific scientific stuff such as the thing retards keep doing where they use string thery and missunderstanding of quantum physics to justify mystic mumbojumbo.

I will quite hapily listen to sumone just make philasophical claims or generaly just talk about something , so long as its logically sound.

its just meditating when people dont get basic science correct and then put there incorect interpritation of it into a vidoe.

interesting comment westy.
your main point addresses a small fraction of the videos content, contesting a point the video was only indirectly talking about and then turn around and basically agree with what this video is saying..semantics aside.
maybe you are bi-polar my friend.

my issue is that sum one is not going to have much creditability in philosophical arguments if they haven't understood fairly obvious things in science.
anny thing that he says in the video that is true is pretty obvious but presented in an overly complicated way.
the video in gneral is convoluted.

i would not call philosophy a science but rather a system of pushing and pressing boundaries by way of questioning and examination and attempting to understand the confines of this reality and how we..as humanity..fit in that context.
i would tend to agree with you that this mans presentation may be a tad verbose but when you understand that he is also infusing a lot of eastern philosophy in conflation with west.since most here are familiar..even if they dont realize it..with western philosophy..what he proposes may appear to be total gibberish.
i may not agree with everything this man puts forth but i admire his efforts to explain the battle between the ego and the soul.something which western philosophy utterly fails to do but eastern philosophy addresses often and is actually a prime tenant.
the thing that bothers me about western psychology is the prevalence of administering psychotropic drugs after only an hour long session to diagnose.this video and others like it offer a different path for those who may suffer or experience bi-polar/mania/depression by way of self exploration and awareness of oneself.
ones true self.
now i am of the belief we are spirit, you may not but this video can still be helpful to those who do not believe in spirit by simply understanding and addressing their ego.because once you understand and have identified what the ego is is you can now begin the process of dealing with it.

Is it sort of amazing to anyone else the immediacy with which the world can now view some of the more personal and intimate parts of people's lives?

just a decade ago, how many people outside of this family would've ever seen this kid's gibberish?

Now, millions can be enthralled by it.

Zero Punctuation: Bioshock 2

budzos says...

My biggest complaint about Bioshock is that the splicers just won't shut the fuck up. Aside from big daddys, every single enemey you fight in the game spends the entire encounter spouting insane gibberish. Even when they're on fire they just continue with the gibberish, it doesn't even phase them.

Repetitive voice in games is my current pet peeve with just about every game I play. Whenever I fire up BF2 after not playing it for a while, the constant radio chatter that is louder than anything else in the game drives me nuts (don't tell me to go into the setting and turn it down, no shit I tried that in 2006).

Pat Condell: The crooked judges of Amsterdam

gwiz665 says...

Well, @longde, I've yet to see anyone commit murder or violence in the name of atheism.

Shouting "fire" is indeed a restriction on free speech and one a agree with, but that's not what we're discussing. We're discussing Pat Condell's right to say what he says, Geert Wilders' right to spout his hate speech, the religious nut's right to say his gibberish. Not whether or not you can cry wolf. There is a big difference between punishing someone for falsely crying alarm and bringing panic (where's the police on fox news with their fear mongering) and saying an opinion.

Hedo Turkuglo Gives Ball All the Credit

kulpims says...

In the second scroll of Wen the Eternally Surprised a story is written concerning one day when the apprentice Clodpool, in a rebellious mood, approached Wen and spake thusly: "Master, what is the difference between a humanistic, monastic system of belief in which wisdom is sought by means of an apparently nonsensical system of questions and answers, and a lot of mystic gibberish made up on the spur of the moment?" Wen considered this for some time, and at last said: "A fish!" And Clodpool went away, satisfied.

Prisencolinensinainciusol - English Subtitles?

Stormsinger says...

Considering that the artist wrote the lyrics specifically as gibberish that simply -sounded- like words, any translation pretty much has to be complete BS. It was supposed to be a statement on the difficulties of communications, even in a world-spanning culture.

I'm pretty sure this came up in one of the earlier discussions, but got lost when the video got a dupeof tag. ::sigh::

Gibberish rock song written to sound like English

ctrlaltbleach says...

because my comment became deleted because of a dup I thought Id repost it.

From Wiki

"Prisencolinensinainciusol" is a song composed by Adriano Celentano, and performed by Celentano and Raffaella Carrà. It was first released as a single on November 3, 1972, and later on his album Nostalrock. The lyrics are pure gibberish, often described as sounding like American English as heard by a non–English-speaker.

Sounds like there saying allright!
