Who's the better actor? (User Poll by Throbbin)
Every actor on this list except for De Niro has played the same character every movie they've been in. Now, all of these characters were well played, don't get me wrong, but De Niro has "experimented" the most with his roles. Clint would be 2nd on my list because he has a couple of atypical roles under his belt, but for the most part he plays a grizzled hard-ass.
But whyyyyyyyyyyyyy James Earl Jones? He is better as a voice actor. Why not Christopher Walken? That'd be a tough decision because you can't determine if he's a good actor or a bad actor or just crazy...but either way everybody loves him.

They're all great, but they're basically all type casts (almost). The most diverse would probably be Morgan Freeman or James Earl Jones.

^Burdturgler Re: James Earl Jones
I think you're probably right. He's an honorarable mention for Darth Vader.
Who's the better actor? (User Poll by Throbbin)
I do love Raging Bull, Scarface etc. Pacino and De Niro are legends. No question about it. But they stopped making good movies. Morgan Freeman is great but he is very type cast imo. Gran Torino? Clint is still kicking ass. Polls like this are tough because they're all awesome.
also .. I think there at least a dozen other actors that should be in the list instead of James Earl Jones.

Guy Movies (Cinema Talk Post)
Drax,
I couldn't agree more about "The Hudsucker Proxy". I can't tell why people don't like this movie. I think it might just be hard to take in all the rat-a-tat, fast paced banter but this really is one of the Coen's gems.
However:
It's funny to me that I couldn't disagree more about "Event Horizon". It's just Hellraiser with a space ship for gad's sake. How is it that people can associate "pure chaos" with just chains and razorblades? It would seem to me that pure chaos would be just that: something that you couldn't possibly understand any part of. You wouldn't even fear it after you got there because it wouldn't make sense. After entering, no part of you would be in order anymore. Thus, you wouldn't really even exist.
It's just like that movie "Sunshine" that I was excited to see. Great initial concept and then all-of-a-sudden there's a freakish looking sunburned guy chasing people around with an electric scalpel. WTF? Isn't the initial concept, i.e.: falling into the sun, entering a reality of pure chaos scary enough without all the fish-hooks and blood spattered walls?
Anyway,
I think I agree with most of the suggestions above. Especially "Conan" or: The story of one young man's struggle against adversity in a harsh, unforgiving world and how he wrestles a giant snake and eventually cuts off James Earl Jones' head with his golden sword-phallus.

This would be much better with piano music from Toe Jam & Earl instead of what's in there now.

No problem, man. Seeing as the far superior performance at Earls Court in 1975 hadn't been sifted, I had to do it
