Treat Dirt Like Dirt!
I've owned a Dyson vac and I can confirm it didn't hold a candle to 'old reliable' my 20 year old Kirby Diamond Classic my mom gave me when I got my first apartment. It may be fancy looking, but the difference in performance is night and day. Yes I may have to buy bags once in a while, or replace a busted belt, but that old Kirby cleans like nobodies business.
I've found Dyson products in general are shit. I received one of their 'fans' as a gift. It worked decently enough but was loud as hell when turned up and didn't spread air around the room that well, all for $350 for a 12" fan. I later bought a regular fan that had different settings, could turn to blow air around the room, etc, and did a 'much' better job cycling and cooling the room for $50.
Dyson is like Bose. Fantastic marketing but the actual product is over-priced and under-performing.
Treat Dirt Like Dirt!
I have a Shark vacuum and love it. Screw Dyson.
Treat Dirt Like Dirt!
I got a kenmore, and an old Kirby G5 because I like vacuuming. I'll say it once and again for anyone who is considering BAGLESS VACS ARE CRAP. American's hear that smooth, smooth, British accent and they are falling all over themselves to buy a Dyson. OH, listen to him talk. So Smooooth! He's sounds really intelligent like he knows something you don't know. NO He DOn't!! He ain't know nuthin'! Ye ha!
Sesame Street: V For VACUUM
I'll bet that Dyson cocksucker is behind this!
Moving A Bee Colony By Hand

I want a dyson sphere. Get some people on that, could ya?
Been working on it in my shed. The design is pretty much done, I just need a tiny bit more materials.
and a spare star

Nuclear is not perfect, but it's the best we have right now. Coal and Oil are much worse. Wind, Solar and Geothermal are better, but not nearly the same scale as Nuclear.
There are several issues with nuclear and Chernobyl/Fukushima style disasters are frankly the least of them.
Leaving aside the obviously thorny issue of waste management, the other issue arises when you amortise the cost over the total lifetime of the nuclear plant. It's just not that cheap in terms of energy or money to build, run and then decommission.
As for renewable energy, it's nowhere close to providing the energy levels we need yet. Also there are other environmental issues with some renewable energy generation methods as well. Hydro requires large dams (concrete is an eco-nightmare) and can destroy habitats. Geothermal can affect the landscape (subsidence and sapping geysers are two common effects). Lots of people complain about wind turbines as visually unappealing (personally I find the aesthetically pleasing). I'm not saying renewable technologies are bad, merely that there are still issues with them.
In real terms, fusion is where it's at.
Huntsman Attacks Ron Paul - frontrunner pile on
According to his biography by Michael Eric Dyson, ML King considered himself a Marxist, but not a Communist. He is usually described as a democratic socialist. He believed the US was on the wrong side of the Vietnam war and that the US should've been on the side of the North Vietnamese. He did think there should be radical wealth distribution in the US.

Is there any money to be made?
Now, building a Dyson Sphere, that's where the big bucks are. I wanna be the creator of "Big Sun", the biggest energy company in teh world. I'll be rich, RICH. If it weren't for those meddling kids.

Yes, private is dead. So is removed by user and a whole lot of other error messages, but not available might mean blocked and so might just not loading at all.
You would have to post a few more videos before siftbot will listen, but plenty of people read the comments so don't let that put you off.
Cool avatar btw.

MSNBC Analyses Police Assault On "Occupy Wall St." Protester
Winstonfield, what you're saying about MLK's tactics is simply wrong. Read MLK's biography by Eric Dyson. MLK wanted to use non-violent "industrial sabotage" to clog up industries and highways in Washington DC, to bring things to a halt until democratic socialist reforms were put into place. He wanted to do this by clogging places up with people so that even "innocent bystanders," as you put it, would have no choice but take notice.
Also I believe MLK supported "sit ins" where black people came in and sat in white-only restaurants, filling them up with black customers. This drove away white customers from stores, and I'm sure owners were annoyed that they were losing so much business to this tactic. Plus, at the time, I'm pretty sure white owners had the legal right to only serve white customers, thus the private property rights of white owners were being violated by MLK's black supporters.
If you disagree with the Occupy Wall Street end goal, OK that's fine. But don't criticize the tactics in the belief that MLK Jr. was not a supporter of the tactics here, because he used them himself.

(OK, the planetarium is pretty awesome too...)
Their Airblade hand dryer system that's all the rage in public toilets these days is awesome. It is undeniably faster and more cost effective than those piss poor fan systems. Plus they make me feel like I'm drying my hands in the future!
Seconded! The best "exhibit" in the Glasgow Science Museum is the hand dryer in the bathroom.

If its cool to the touch and not noisy then that's fair enough , but 90% of what dyson market is bullshit over hype its the apple of housing goods.
I disagree; unlike Apple, Dyson are genuinely innovative in what they produce. They certainly share marketing methods and pricing strategies though.
ok ok they are not as bad as apple but they smell the same.
