Kim: Youngest Person To Have Gender Reassignment Surgery

DerHasisttot jokingly says...

wow, I'm pleased to read such open minded comments.
And you (probably) didn't have to attend the extensive diversity trainings and seminars on human sexuality that are required for my profession as a psychotherapist.
Now, because Kim's appearance is so convincing natural female (and not a transexual one), I wonder if she will even tell adult boyfriends about how she was born.

I was skeptical our current level of medicine could create a convincing and functional neovagina, but it doesn't seem to be a problem.
This document shows photos of a convincing neovagina, and writes that they tend to be experienced by sexual partners as 'tighter' than the natural human vagina.

But it can sometimes lead to "blue waffle"

Tim Profitt Wants An Apology From Woman He Assaulted

NetRunner says...

@Sagemind rather than trusting RedState's interpretation of the video, what do you see happen there?

I see Lauren Valle try to stuff a sign into the window of Rand's car. I then see the guy in a gray suit (who probably is the actual security) physically grab her and move her away from the car, and then let her go.

Had it ended there, I say no harm no foul.

But after he lets her go, we have the events from the other video, where two supporters tackle her to the ground, and hold her head on the curb. They have her completely restrained, when Tim Profitt decides to give her head a stomp foot blessing.

Reverse this for a moment, if it'd been Jack Conway, and some teabaggette had stuffed a sign into his window, and after security moved her away from the truck, two Obama supporters tackled her, held her on the ground, and I came along and give her head a calming foot massage (with full concussion), would you be defending me?

Would you be claiming that there is a valid context in which I could utter the phrase "She should apologize to me, if I'm honest", and still be an upright and decent human being?

We'll see. Conway is gonna let it drop, sorta, largely because there are substantive things wrong with Paul's policies, and would rather drive the focus back towards that, now that the press-bait of Aqua Buddha has done its job.

In reply to this comment by AmandaF:
Buddha is being brought up again and again. Paul is nevertheless facing the disappointment of his university-days prank. The NoZe brotherhood was a group of students Rand Paul was a part of at Baylor. The group was founded to trigger aggravation for the administration. The disputed reports of the NoZe Brotherhood cover an array of intrusions. One of the many stories is that they kidnapped a female and asked her to "worship the Aqua Buddha". This is a little embarrassing for Paul, I wonder if there is enough personal loans in this world to sweep this under the rug.

Jack Conway on Social Security

By the way do most conservatives really want to dismantle SS? And by conservative I just assume you mean the Republican base, right?

In this case I suspect it's more of the money behind the Republicans, plus libertarians. The actual Republican voter base probably is happy to have it both ways and grouse about how every budgetary issue with Social Security is proof that government can't do anything right, while raising holy hell if anyone ever talks about cutting benefits or raising taxes.

I also accept your definition of a Ponzi scheme minus the 'impossibly high return'. That's an arbitrary statement so let's stick to the facts.

Okay, glad to know you're never going to call SS a ponzi scheme again, then.

>> ^blankfist:
The SS doesn't promise a return on your investment, so you're not actually investing in your future or retirement. I wish it wasn't politically positioned to people that way. It is different from a Ponzi scheme in this way and this way only from what I understand.

Bzzt, factual error, and it conflicts with the prior statement.

Here, read this. I'm happy to answer any criticism or questions you have in response to it.

The only real threat to SS is conservative idiots trying to sabotage or dismantle it.

By the way do most conservatives really want to dismantle SS? And by conservative I just assume you mean the Republican base, right?

I always thought the party's base was already mostly on SS. Actually I thought most of them wanted to privatize social security over completely abolishing it. Is that not accurate?

Personally I'd like to NOT see it privatized and just be done away with altogether, because if the money will continue to be stolen from us I don't see much moral improvement in distributing our stolen money to the corporate scumbags.

Rand Paul Offers No Denial On Aqua Buddha

NetRunner says...

>> ^gwiz665:

He used to be in a secret society that mocked religion... doesn't that just mean that he's actually not an idiot, and instead - like most other politicians - just lies about his religion to have a chance to get into office?

It doesn't mean he's not an idiot, it just means he's a different kind of idiot.

He could easily say "I was an irreverent and confused young man when that happened, and now that I've brought Jesus Christ into my life, I beg for forgiveness for the things I did when I was younger."

Instead he calls Conway a slime merchant, and lawyerly refuses to contest the specifics of the accusation.

The former would've made Conway look like an ass, the latter is making it look like Conway has hit a legitimate nerve.

What's your first memory of rock & roll? (Rocknroll Talk Post)

blahpook says...

I'd have to say it was my parents, who listened to Linda Rondstadt, the Eagles, and the Beatles. Except that they also listened to Tom Jones, Englebert Humperdinck, and Conway Twitty, so maybe I'm just so awesome I figured out the whole rock and roll thing on my own. That and I have been in love with the idea of the musician alone on stage with his/her guitar. There's something really romantic in the image that I've always liked. A few of my family members play guitar and some of my favorite childhood memories are of them playing guitar while various others took turns singing.

After getting over my horrendous Debbie Gibson/Tiffany phase, I picked up Queen, Guns and Roses, REO Speedwagon, The Motels and Joe Cocker from an uncle who had them lying around. Talking Heads and then, later, 90s grunge was the first rock I got into that felt like it was not inherited from someone else, and now I'm inclined to pretty much give a listen to anything at least once, because who knows what might be out there...

Current favorites at the moment: Death Cab for Cutie, System of a Down, Yeah Yeah Yeahs (though most of the new CD is kind of a drag), Weezer, Silverchair, etc.

Lois At FOX News - Finds Out True Purpose Of Ann Coulter

This scene was one of the 2 times I laughed during this entire episode. I think FG is finally loosing it's edge. Either that, or I'm sick of the same 'ol shtick. Having Lois rehash the bit where Peter falls down and says, "aaaaah, oooooh, aaaah" a million times was definitely unnecessary and quite annoying to me.

That was indeed one of the worst Family Guy episodes. That incident with Lois hurting herself did nothing for me. Family Guy has this idea that if you drag out a non-joke long enough it becomes a joke (see playing an entire Conway Twitty song)

The other plot line in this episode, Peter and Chris' cartoon, was completely unfunny. Again, they thought if they stuck with something silly for long enough it would become funny.

Banned from TV Family Guy Clip

Meh I havnt liked family guy as of late but I enjoyed that clip.

Family Guy still has some good jokes but they have been getting lazy by not animating a 2min + scene every episode (Talking about Meg in the kitchen, the tap recorder doing the Slater joke, Conway Twitty...)
