I find this to be a truly interesting debate.

Now, I'd like to mention I find this to be a really weak piece by TyT. I don't like the dude in this vid, he's clearly a douche. He spends over 1:30 talking about the French lady when she doesn't have anything to do with the issue. I like the other guy that appears in TyT vids and woud've liked to get his take. But w/e. I also find that for such a divisive, complicated and debatable issue they really seem to be chewing around the fat.

I am from and live in Montreal, btw I'm not French Canadian don't downvote so quick , and this issue seems to arise a lot over here. I'd like to know the rules and the reactions to muslims' very different cultural and religious traditions in the rest of North America.

For me I really think we can put aside issues of social and religious tolerance. We can put aside our(mostly) collective disdain for religious fundamentalists. Let's also put aside our apprehensiveness of archaic, outdated, and even sometimes absurd traditions. We can even put aside the fact that the government ought not have any say in it's citizens' dress.

At the end of the day I truly believe it should be my right, and an institutions right, to refuse service to any individual who refuses to show me their face.

Unless I'm running a hot dog stand on St. Catherine in the middle of winter and it's -30°c It's still Canada...

Of course he is. He is a businessman and knows how to sell himself.

He doesn't know what evolution is. Nobody in that thread appears to, actually. I'd point to this to counter the "never-observed" BS, but I predict he'll say it's not evolution because the bacteria didn't turn into a duck.

Again, I suggest pointing out that evolution and abiogenesis are separate. Call him on his ignorance every time he suggests otherwise. Evolution is also not the opposite of theism or creationism, and I would point that out as well.

Catherine is hilarious. She lays out a clear (albeit poor) argument in favor of scientific methods and then somehow transitions into God = modern science, evolution = science of the 1800s.

Tell Wanda that you are perfectly willing to change your mind if shown to be wrong.

They are bombarding you with anything and everything. Implore them to stay on topic or maybe get them to answer some questions. Ask Owen why he thinks we all deserve eternal torture. Ask them if they think you're an evil person and why. Why is a moral authority necessary? Can they not tell from their own experiences what is right and what is wrong? If Adam broke the promise, why are we all to be punished? Did God not have the power to prevent our "rebellion?" Why does Russ think wolves and lambs would start fucking on Jesus's new earth?

What I was telling you about this morning

After watching this I was reminded of the Polanski movie Repulsion in which we get to watch Catherine Deneuve sink into insanity. The only difference is that watching Glen Beck sink into insanity is somehow much more repulsive.
