The video is *dead already. Serene Branson, though, is apparently fine. According to this report, she did not suffer a stroke, and was never taken to a hospital. She was examined by paramedics at the scene.

If I had to guess, I'd say she had a TIA - transient ischemic attack. It's like a stroke, but does not cause any permanent damage.

Update: She was taken to hospital after this, and we may have witnessed her having a stroke live on air.

Yeah, but you can't succeed as an entrepreneur without taking a few swings and misses. Of course luck plays a factor in final outcome, but luck = opportunity + preparedness. You have to be looking for the chance /and/ be prepared to capitalize on it when it comes. Branson has done it.

And there have been plenty of people that have gotten lucky and turned a small fortune into nothing. Gates, Jobs, et. al, have figured out how to turn their small fortunes into larger ones, and keep the ball rolling. Kudos to capitalism.

There will be hundreds if not thousands of people who are as deserving if not as ruthless as Richard branson who will not have become rich sue to multiple factors outside of there control. I admire Richard Branson so much. His vision, his tenacity, his dedication and, above all, his belief that if you WANT the dream, go for it. Simplistic?, maybe, but please don't get into the hows a whys of how he achieved his wealth and success. Suffice it to say that NO successful businessman ever "made it" without some degree of ruthlessness. Plus there is never a time to not think of space, IMHO. It lifts the considerations of each individual into the realm of infinity where wars, resource scrabling and politics shrink into insignifigance. Space and more importantly, the sparking of the WORLD's collective imagination and hence cohesion.
