1. I lived on the last federally granted homestead in the US in rural Alaska without running water or electricity for 5 years as a kid.
2. Had a ten speed when everyone else had a BMX, and thus never learned to tail slap.

I had the best New Years tonight. It include my two best friends, BMX bikes, a bit of weed, and explosives (started off with roman candles and ended up with acetylene). So frickin fun!

It really doesn't help that the youtube thumbnail shows Derren and Simon shaking hands in front of a red bmx bike... I got to the end of the video and was sure that I knew it was a red bmx bike all along. Then I began to think that it must have been some crazy vision Derren had implanted when I couldn't find where in the video the bike was shown before he took it out of the package.

Then I remembered the thumbnail. Shouldn't be there if we want viewers to have the same experience as the guest.

... an aside; if you have kids, don't let them ride bikes at skateparks, even bmx bikes and even bmx specific parks... that sport is basically one visits to the hospital after another, not to mention how much other people despise little kids on bikes careening into them with pointy metal frames at skateparks.
