Would be difficult to swing that because F1 didn't have the type of organized pit stops we see today until much much later. Refueling during a race was first done in a properly calculated way in 1982 by Brabham, before that they only did it in emergency situations (barring Fangio's German Grand Prix win in 1957, where he just decided to do it mid race, but would probably have won even without it). It was again outlawed by 1984, and came back in 1994, then went away in 2010 again, so the only times in history that proper pit stops with fueling etc. have been in common use in F1 are between 1982-1984 and 1994-2009. Likewise stopping for new tyres pretty much came in with the fuel stops in 1982, because naturally they realized they could run softer tyre compounds if they only had to last half a race.

In the 50s, 60s and 70s you'd basically only see the F1 drivers pitting in if there were problems with the car, for the most part they really really wanted to avoid coming into the pits if at all possible. Exception being races like the Indy 500 which was simply too long to complete in one go.

Der Fuehrer's Face (originally titled Donald Duck in Nutzi Land) is a 1943 American animated propaganda short film produced by Walt Disney Productions and released in 1943 by RKO Radio Pictures. The cartoon, which features Donald Duck in a nightmare setting working at a factory in Nazi Germany, was made in an effort to sell war bonds and is an example of American propaganda during World War II. The film was directed by Jack Kinney and written by Joe Grant and Dick Huemer from the original music by Oliver Wallace. The film is well known for Wallace's original song "Der Fuehrer's Face", which was actually released earlier by Spike Jones.

Der Fuehrer's Face won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film at the 15th Academy Awards. It was the only Donald Duck film to receive the honor, although eight other films were also nominated. In 1994, it was voted Number 22 of "the 50 Greatest Cartoons" of all time by members of the animation field. However, because of the propagandistic nature of the short, and the depiction of Donald Duck as a Nazi (albeit a reluctant one), Disney kept the film out of general circulation after its original release. Its first home video release came in 2004 with the release of the third wave of the Walt Disney Treasures DVD sets.

I actually set up such a BBS in 1994 but it never got off the ground. I had purchased my servers from a local shop and could never get them stable. The local shop took them back for troubleshooting/repair, but never returned them or my money.

I took the guy to small claims court where he lied about the state of the computers when they were returned, claiming at one point that I had removed all the mounting screws and taped the hardware together. The judge pointed out that, even if true, he was still required to either repair them (possibly at a cost), replace them, or refund them. Ultimately he claimed that I had cursed at his sister a couple years earlier (via BBS chat) and so he was justified in sabotaging my business. He lost, obviously, and ended up refunding my money. Unfortunately, I had still lost a few hundred on other expenses and the release of Quake was on the horizon, so the window of opportunity was nearly closed.

I actually have the "ACPi MultiPlayer Game Server" software sitting next to me on my desk. I came across it a few weeks ago while going through an old box of stuff. Even though it's completely useless, I can't bring myself to throw it out.

I think the execs realized the value of an asshole on reality television long before Simon Cowell came across the Atlantic. The ratings boost given to MTV's 'The Real World' way back in 1994 by Puck constantly antagonizing his roommates (especially HIV-positive Pedro) surely got that ball rolling.

What a load of bias rubbish. Very selective quoting. The ban on fox hunting was nothing to do with human rights, but rather animal cruelty. Foxes can still be hunted, with a gun of all things. You're just not allowed to let your dogs maul them to death because that's cruel. So what they're apparently campaigning against is a load of rubbish, hunting with guns is still legal.

Oh, and so is pistol shooting - you just have to keep your gun at a gun club. The only thing that's illegal is keeping your gun at home.

As for Tony Martin, he's a nutjob. Tony Martin had his gun license revoked in 1994 because he shot at someone who was stealing his apples. Ok, so the guy was on his land and stealing fruit, but it's OK to shoot them? No. No it's not.

There are a lot of inconsistencies in his story of the incident. He claimed to have shot from the stairs having been woken by the break in. He didn't, he was shown to have shot from a downstairs doorway. He was lying in wait for them and ambushed them. He shot the kid that broke in in the back as he was trying to escape.

I'm pretty sure in America the feeling is just that the kid had it coming, he shouldn't have been there. I don't buy into that at all.

US rate is more than forty times that of the UK. Which country has broken gun laws? The simple facts are that I'm safer in the UK without a gun than I am in the states with a gun.
