I'm used to getting a notification message when someone leaves a comment or a video is discarded which is why I don't usually leave a member comment as well since I assumed it would be redundant.

Glad you are going to discard any dupes you find as well, the less time a dupe sticks around the better I think

You know what: I'm being a hard-ass. Forget about it about what I said. You're method makes sense and you shouldn't have to remember my special rules because I am easily confused. In fact, I will adopt your technique when I find a dupe myself, however I think I will leave them a member comment as well.

I'll try to remember that for you. I used to do that for all of the dupes I found, but way too many people just ignored the comment and the video remained only to be discarded by me or another user in the future. We've had a number of sift talk discussions around this etiquette as well and most people just wanted them discarded as soon as possible.

If you find a dupe of one of my videos could you notify me and allow me to discard it myself. I check the sift probably every day and wouldn't miss your comment, also it would save me 4 minutes of confusion browsing sifttalk and my tags.
