I think this guy watched a bunch of videosift russia dash cam vids and had a plan if it should happen to him.

Sounds likely!

I'm wondering what the ratio of lucky to unlucky Russians might be... I mean are we talking for every lucky Russian there are 10 unlucky Russians, or are the Russians just super-lucky and this is an expected outcome regardless of the individual involved?

Hmmm... I guess the driver wasn't so lucky since he was attempting to get away from the police!

Hiya, liked your Sleight of Foot video but noticed a familiar thumbnail in the related videos below... http://videosift.com/video/Impressive-shoe-tying-trick

Great trick, saw this a few years ago at a magic show and had the added bonus of being shown how to perform it :

Right you are, I referenced that video in my description comments. The original post is the "trick". My post shows how it's done using the same ... "footage" [see what I did there?] ... slowed down. Would that be considered a dupe? [If it is I'll gladly declare it].

So, HAVE you performed it? =oD

You are probably aware of it, but: The math in your avatar is wrong, 2(a-b)=a-b does not imply 2=1 but is equal to 2x0=0

2(a-b)=a-b
2(a-b)=1(a-b)
You could use any number in place of 2 here, since you are multiplying with 0 ie:
2435322(a-b)=(a-b)
0=0
