Hooray for power!!

I LOVE thunderstorms!!!! Your description of that one is getting me all excited for one. How awesome to live so close to the water and get a view like that! I used to have a house with lakefrontage and seeing the lightning over the open water and hearing the booming thunder was quite a spectacular show...I sure miss it.

I didn't take part in that survey myself so I guess the % of women is slightly higher. I was a bit shocked though that there are so few women on this site. I have no idea what's scaring them off...other than the fact that there's such a strong male presence.

I just knew you would like that song!!! I don't think I've heard that Little Wing one before. And....speaking of songs. What a great assortment you've chosen for me today!! I'm having a busier than usual workday and it's nice to be able to have these songs playing in the background as I try to wrap my head around paper work. I've just started listening to them, so I will give you my opinion on these later on. I do have to say that the Baba O'Reily one I am VERY familiar with and it is another favorite!!

Though, I would probably not have been able to use my computer for the last two days anyway because we've basically had the abusive daddy of all thunderstorms here. I've never seen or heard anything like it before. I live close to the water, and sometimes, the thunder was like a great whip cracked over the back of the ocean. Other times, it was so deep, low and angry, you felt the shape of it in the pit of your stomach. It felt like a big man's fist pushed into a small man's gut.

All in all, it was pretty damn awesome.

Oh, and that was an interesting survey. Thanks for linking it! Other than the fact that VS mostly consists of men, it seems to be a fairly eclectic community.

As for the song, I do indeed love it! I couldn't tell you if I like it more or less than Voodoo Child, though. The one I really wanted to link, however, was this one.



I just couldn't remember the title.

In case you weren't aware, this site consists of about 90% males. That title alone would have been enough to sift it!! I can not believe you didn't choose THIS Jimi Hendrix song. The greatest one of them all. It seems like exactly the type you'd like too. I was sure you would have preferred this one over Voodoo Child. Am I wrong?? Do you like this one?

Oh, and Queen was basically one the best bands of all time. Freddie Mercury was essentially the personification of ROCK. So very, very awesome. Great choices in songs, by the way! I especially love Somebody to Love - that is such an amazing song.



Let's not forget to pay Hendrix all his due respects, though.

Oh, and you should feel honored to have the Flying Spaghetti Monster touch you with His noodly appendages.

My pleasure!! I thought it would speak to your inner attention whore. It is nice to be able to personalize your profile and stand out a bit. Haha, yeah, I can relate to the "invalid" color selections, and did you notice that they look a lot different when choosing them than how they display on your profile? It takes a bit to get the colors just right. Most of all though, I was hoping it would entice you to post more videos, and now that I have your oath, you can't back down. By the way, did you know that you can currently post 6 videos at a time? You can rule the sift with all those slots.

You didn't post that Aubrey Plaza one!!! What were you thinking?? If in doubt, post it. That's my motto. You can always *kill or *discard it later if it doesn't seem popular or if you change your mind about it.

Flying Spaghetti Monster! Ha! I was leaning towards that one. I was almost even thinking about betting those 2 shillings you gave me on that guess, but in case I was wrong, I didn't want to part with them. But do I really want to be touched by his noodly appendages? Hmmm...

Awwwwwww mannnnnnn, this video is blocked in Canada too!! This is one of the most awesome songs of all time though and I even have this one already so all I need to do is *add to playlist*. Queen is one of my all-time favorite bands and Bohemian Rhapsody is my favorite of their songs. I also really like "We Will Rock You", "Under Pressure" and "Somebody to Love". I'm on youtube now listening to all 4 of those Queen songs.

I didn't do too bad last week. In case you ever want to see how you did, you can find those weekly achievements posts by clicking on the "sift talk forum" tab and then scroll down and it is to the right of the screen under the heading "New Blog Posts from All Members" (a bit above where the current users are displayed).

Will look up that band to hear more...and this one is another great song!!! Thank you!! And that is EXACTLY the feel of it...dreamy. This playlist is really getting good!!! I enjoyed listening to it today...immensely!

And I'm glad you liked the music! I really love Little Dragon - they are such an underrated band (in the grand scheme of things) but they are so amazingly good at creating that dreamy feel that just pulls your mind into another world.

Wow, it feels different around here. Yes, I got you the charter membership so you could pretty the place up and you succeeded in doing so!!!! It looks awesome...I really love the colors you chose...AND I'm so glad you finally have an avatar picture...it was time to stop procrastinating and post one already. It suits you.

Glad your headache is gone. I only get them when I spend long periods of time staring at a computer screen or when I'm dehydrated. It wouldn't surprise me if staring at a computer screen is what gave you that headache since it seemed like you were on here all day.

I don't mind so much when the power goes out (as long as it doesn't last too long)...it's fun to have to use candles and find something to do that doesn't require electricity for a change. At least you have an iphone and a connection to the internet. You're not totally cut off!

Ok, I have to ask....I'm assuming FSM is internet slang for something, but I have no idea what...and I even googled it to try to figure it out....I got "flying spaghetti monster", "female seeking male", among other things. What does it mean?
