So Jewish people are the ones blowing themselves up in foreign countries and intentionally killing civilians, while the Muslims are prosperous inventors and artisans? That's news to me.

That's a keen and concise use of sarcasm, and one wasted on most of the sheeple here. The Jews excel the world around at arts, entertainment, science, medicine, business and finance, literature, the list goes on.
Muslims the world around have devoted their genius to killing, destroying societies, oppressing women and, oh ya, Allah.

The Mohammaden blight has nothing to do with race. It is the culture and religeon. Pakistan, Phillipines, Thialand, India, Iraq, Darfur, Beslan, Sweden, France, Britian. All these places and more they are assaulting the rules of law and advancing barbarism.

What faces do you see in this clip?

What about the protests in
Oregon
San Francisco
New York
Tel Aviv
Tehran
Egypt
30+ UK cities
Ireland
Paris
and all over Europe and around the world?

What colour faces do you see there?

You know what, you'll see ALL COLOUR FACES, you'll see people from ALL CULTURES standing in solidarity with Palestine and condemning Israeli genocide.

You should go along to one of these demonstrations, I bet there's one happening near you. You might learn something.

Take a look at the faces: 0:18, 0:32, 0:50, 1:47, 1:53, 2:15 etc

There was even a Hezbollah flag there (the yellow one) and a poster of Ahmadinejad.

I'm asking anyone who questions the USA's action: do you think your armed forces exist to harm you... or to protect you?

The armed forces exist to protect US interests. This doesn't mean that they always do that in effect. It also does not mean that they are making me safer.

As I said in my original post, lesserfool, the US is at war with people who don't wear a uniform. They are unidentifiable.

The conception of "war" must change. We aren't in WWI trenches with bayonets here, we're dealing with anonymous individuals operating in frequently independent cells. At times, extraordinary measures must be taken in order to gather information from detainees. Logically, it may be worth the risk to harm an innocent man than to permit the death of dozens of innocents.

Undoubtedly, some sadists have been put into circumstances when they have abused their authority, and they are not without accountability. Martial law is usually more severe than civilian.

Soldiers and those who have chosen a military volition are willing to sacrifice their lives for their country and for you. I return to my original question: do you trust that your military force is working for you, or against you?

What do forays into mathematics have to do with a cultural or religious rebirth? And what does religion have to do with science?

Does Islam take the merit for those contributions? If so, shall we attribute all scientific endeavour to the faith of the explorer?

Please ask yourself this last question in earnest.

It seems you may need to "think" about my words (and your own) longer, thinker247.

If Islam never had a Renaissance, then where did we get algebra and algorithms? Your ignorance hurts me.

The important distinction campionidelmondo is that this is 2008, and no-one is killing in the name of Christianity. The Crusades and Christian Emperialism ended quite some time ago.

The Muslim world's drive, however, is still fueled by the ideology of a 6th century sectarian battalion. Islam never had a Renaissance... never had the period of self-doubt and introspection that Europe went through... this may be in part because just question Koranic validity is punishable by death!

Cheers to jwray for going against the grain.
