Yeah I actually meant monogamy but after writing shotgun like that am surprised it all actually makes sense.

In reply to this comment by Linz:
Just thought you may have meant "monogamy" instead of monotony in paragraph 10 of your reply to Pinkie in the Von Teese thread. Although, maybe for some, the terms are interchangeable:P

"Psychologists assume this is necessary for monotony and the actual act of sex."

I like the way your tree minded mind thinks! thanks for the links!

Or maybe something more like this?

I like the idea of having it above the ground, maybe suspended. Also a bunch of other cool ideas here:

I dream of building my own tree based house, sort of like this one, but perhaps with a center beam that is a living tree, ( i know, i know, the roots would need water...)

Everything makes perfect sense, except for the building codes that prevent anyone from making their own house.

WOW IT WORKED!! OMG!! That is so awesome! Thank you so much for doing that for me! I am so totally going to save the code for this and use it in the future... I am always finding Gawker vids I crave to post! YOU RULE LINZ! THANK YOU ONE HUNDRED MILLION TIMES!

In reply to this comment by Linz:
Hello Raven,
as expected, the Tom Cruise vid got pulled on youtube, but I THINK this code might work for embedding from Gawker. It's just that I don't have the star points to do it myself. Do you want to use it to fix your dead video?
If so, try this:

<embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://cache.gawker.com/assets/util/videoModule.swf" style="" name="videoPlayer" quality="best" scale="noscale" salign="tl" allowscriptaccess="always" flashvars="videoURL=Cruise_Scientology_video.flv" height="376" width="475">

raven says...

Oh, I don't really care enough... and anyway, it got to be bothersome to keep replacing the code, because honestly, I have never been able to figure out how to steal vids from Gawker... I've looked over the source code for their pages numerous times and the only things 'stealable' would be the java call up for their own player, and the name of the vid's file, but they have cleverly omitted the entire file path of the vid, and without knowing that and being able to pinpoint where the file is on their servers, there is no way of getting it to display on another website... at least, this is as far as I know, maybe somebody out there with more code ninja skills could do it, but if so, they have yet to make themselves known.

So anyway, you keep it, clearly you could use the star point more than I and anyway, I've already had my fill of laughing at Xenu's minions... or maybe I haven't... so perhaps I'll go over to yer post and keep it up some.

In reply to this comment by Linz:
Sorry, Raven, I didn't know you'd already posted the Tom Cruise vid. Are you able to embed the one hosted by the Gawker site? They claim that they won't be removing it, so it should be more stable. I posted the address is in the description for the vid. You can bring yours back to life and kill this one.

qruel says...

I was so confused. thanks for catching this. I can now see how this would be confusing.

I grabbed the info off of www.triggerstreet.com (which kevin spacey was a co-founder)

I'll go change it now

thanks again

In reply to this comment by Linz:
k, here's why I'm asking:
"The film is based on the New York Times best selling book "Bringing Down The House" by Ben Mezrich and stars our very own site co-founder, Kevin Spacey"
so, from your confused response, I'm guessing that either this is a quote taken from somewhere else, or everyone else on the planet knows Kevin Spacey started the sift and I been in the dark?

In reply to this comment by qruel:
??????????

In reply to this comment by Linz:
hold up, did Kevin Spacey seriously co-found the Sift?
