Yes, but i also want CCTV presence in ALL public areas of major cities, with on demand streams.

Seriously. It will make prosecuting crimes and reviewing accidents more effecient, thus saving more money than we would spend on the systems. Use face matching to catch criminals, etc... The downsides are not really there. Ooh, someone could stalk you... how fucking important do you really think you are?!?! heheh. i dare someone to stay awake watching my boring ass all day.

It's not big brother... they use thermal cams to watch you when ur in the house.... Outside.. well that's just logical governing.. let people do what they want, but make sure they are accountable.

No biggie. It will only save society and the planet.

but.....guns and lawyers are just fine... No problems there. forget i said anything.

^lets start by trying it in your home, first.

we could catch you smoking weed, having sex in illegal positions (doggystyle, girl on top), looking at porn, downloading copyrighted music and movies, improperly preparing food for dinner, not washing your hands after using the bathroom, going three weeks without doing laundry, etc.

or we could install it on a telephone pole outside your house so we could catch you failing to use a turn signal when entering your driveway, cheating on your significant other, transporting weed or other illegal items, getting into your car drunk to drive to the store, stealing cable from the box outside, failing to maintain your yard for the homeowners association, etc.

Sometimes when I'm having a wank, and there's a helicopter circling in the area [it happens a lot here (both circumstances)], I wonder if they're looking for weed...and if they are looking for weed, do they have one of those thermal cameras? and if they do have those thermal cameras, can they see me jacking off? so I give them a thumbs up.

Transparency by itself is useless. What good is text you can see clearly if you don't understand what it means?

Still, it should be done. If people could really see how much of their money is pissed away on fraud and nonsense there'd be a revolution overnight.

I was just thinking about google maps the other day, and how eventually (in 20 years or so) all of the images will probably be live streaming, which would be both awesome and invasive to personal privacy at the same time.

I don't think they'd ever be streaming (at least for the public to use). Maybe they'd be updated several times a week.
