Guide to Pro Video Blogging

This Post is about Pro Video Blogging.

It's only fair for me to inform my sifting brethren that there are career opportunities in this feild, if not freelance gigs.

This blog section on Videosift is underrated and possibly underused. Here we have all the tools necessary to become pro video blogger/presenter/reviewer sifters. Anybody with the courage to write a couple interesting sentences about topics they care about has the potential of creating a great blog. I think many out there like the concept of having a blog, they just don't know how to get started. Well, if you don't want to blog about personal stuff, why not blog about videos you see here, on the sift.

Allow me to introduce The VAL (Video, analysis, links) Media Mashup, Basically you take bits and peices from the major 10 media corportions (videos, articles) and vomit out something that makes sense for you.  All over the internet the forumula is being used. Pro blogging is a reality. Bloggers earn livable wages for doing something they enjoy.

Maybe the more people who do this, the less Bill O'Reilly's we'll see, you'know he earns Nine Million Fucking Dollars to foxfart on your face all day.

The VAL media mashup works for any blog topic. I prefer - Science, History, Religion, Politics, Envrionment, Human Rights, World News and more. But you can generally pick any topic under the sun (or the sun) if you can type two coherant sentences, link to a couple reputiable sources and embed a video, you have just created a work of art.

Two sentences of analysis: That is what will earn you an audience and start a discussion.

Two links: so your audience can trust you and interact by digging.

Video(s): One embedded video is perfect - But if you can embed more for good reason, thats good too.

So Pro Video Blogging is a reality, I Pro Blogged for AOL News during the year of 2007 and watched the whole industry evolve around people blogging videos, every website is employing and hiring Pro Video bloggers, I always believed this type of media was more interesting then Television, and many viewers are now agreeing.

The Sift is set up as a network to find the best videos on the Internet and that brings in the most traffic. The blogs appear to be a seperate entity of the sift, hiding at the back of the room, available to us are thousands of videos to blog about, The blogging section could soon become just as big as the Sift.

So Start blogging sifting friends, or sit back and subscribe to mine
