Victor Borge, comedian, concert pianist and conductor, born Denmark of musician parents, 1909. Like his mother, began piano lessons at age 2 and was realized a prodigy. His first recital age 8. He escaped to Finland from Sweden fleeing the Nazis. He came to the US on the last neutral ship to leave Finland in early WW2.
Having a successful classical career, combined it with comedy and was renown in Europe and America. He even debuted some Rachmaninoff in 1940. His career spanned 75 years and even performed 60 times his 90th year. One of his several resultant appellations was The Clown Prince Of Denmark.
He performs here with, Zhahan Azrun, an Armenian pianist and friend.
