Listening to Palin talk makes me die a little inside each time. If she wins, humanity deserves what we get.

that's what they said about Bush the second time around, but it still sucks when we get what we "deserve"

Simpsons did it.

Seriously, I've seen their episodes up even faster.

Man, the sad thing is the "focus group" didn't catch it.

Well...technically shes right.
It is the toxic loans taken out from main-street, and handled by wall street, that have caused this mess.

Wall street doesnt give out loans, its your local bank branches that do.
Fannie mae and Fred mac bought loan packages (sub-prime), and AIG insured them.

Its not exactly easy for the companies to go over every single loan in the packages they are buying and insuring, its a good-faith transaction that the banks they bought from are being responsible....

Govt. allowed the little banks to give shitty loans, even encouraged it by saying fred-fan would buy them up, and it trickled up to wall street, and spread like cancer.
