dystopianfuturetodaysays..."The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated." -Mark Twain
mysdrialsays...Clearly, we will have the undead zombie public option just in time for Halloween!
"The public option wants to eat your brain!"
gwiz665says...Unsubstantiated facts are fun. Incidentally, did you know that Bill O'Reilly killed a guy? Back in the 90s somewhere. Killed him dead. Some say they saw it.
Draxsays...Invocations (dead) cannot be called by FoxNews because FoxNews is not privileged - sorry.
marinarasays...breaking news. this is Joe Lieb's top backstabs:

quantumushroomsays...1) You, meaning we, can't afford it.
2) There's so much waste and fraud in already-established, insolvent government boondoggles now I don't know how the thieves can lie with a straight face.
3) Once the government owns your health, they own you.
dystopianfuturetodaysays...^Not to let reality intrude on your political programing, but public health care already exists everywhere else in the developed world. As it turns out, public systems are cheaper, less corrupt and less invasive than corporate systems. This information is easily available, should you ever develop enough curiosity or courage to seek it.

So, you'd rather some corporate bean counter own your health? What's so good about that?

*In a Monty Pythonesque women voice*
"And don't forget the rapings!"
ravermansays...Meritocracy: judge by the motivation of leadership
1) "I am motivated by improving the nations health statistics within my allocated budget. Efficiency of care, prevention of illness, improved / shorter recovery periods."
2) "I am motivated by maximising shareholder profit. Higher premiums and less honoured claims. Care is targetted to a market that is willing and can afford to pay the best premiums."
Health as a service vs. Insurance as a product.
mizilasays...3) Once the government owns your health, they own you. -QM
Thank God I don't have any health insurance! WOO HOO!! I'm a free man baby!! Nobody owns ME! Eat it SUCKAS!!! HAHHHHHAHHAHAHAHAHA *cough* ...oh shit...
Drachen_Jagersays..."I'd rather trust someone who's sole job is to deny my coverage if at all possible than the government." -QuantuMushroom
Well that's a paraphrase... But that is exactly what you're saying.
