The French Connection (1971) Car Chase Scene

One of the best cop movies of the 70's with Gene Hackman and Roy Scheider. This scene a cop tries to keep up with a metro/subway/train. It's a very very cool car chase. Enjoy. |

Directed by: William Friedkin
Starring: Gene Hackman, Roy Scheider, Fernando Rey
PostMortemsays...

"Many of the shots in the scene were "real", in that legendary stunt driver Bill Hickman, who also had a small role in the film as FBI agent Mulderig, actually drove the car at high speeds through uncontrolled traffic and red lights, with Friedkin running a camera from the backseat while wrapped in a mattress for protection. The production team received no prior permission from the city for such a dangerous stunt"
