The Bionic ‘Luke’ Arm For Amputees

(From originating site): Kamen’s team have created a bionic limb that is lightweight, modular, and highly dexterous - controlled by pressure pads or even by muscle impulses, his limb is far and beyond anything I thought I’d see in my lifetime. The video is mind-blowing.

Absolutley brilliant work by Kamen and his team, ive seen quite a few of the demo's of this, and its just stellar what they are doing.

"I could do stuff I haven't done in 26 years."
"Like what?"
"Rub one out."

Seriously, though, that's awesome. Almost makes me want to chop my arm off so I can get one of those. I would never have to worry about burning myself on the damn extruders or resins at work again.

LAWL for his last line though!

Dean Kamen is my hero. He doesn't stop doing awesome stuff and he takes the really hard cases. We should make sure people who do this are rewarded financially like he was originally.

I remember seeing him, Kamen, on the Colbert Report with an amazing wheelchair they had created. It's awesome to see this sort of stuff in action and a humbling reminder to be thankful for what we have, and hope to keep.
