Terrifying oldtimey electrical vaginal probe for quack cures

A "fischer G series diathermy machine" used back in the 1920's when electrocuting yourself vaginally was apparently all the rage amongst women! Looks like a horrible torture device. More information on 'electrotherapy' quack fads here http://www.electrotherapymuseum.com/FischerImaging/Fischer.htm.

Ok, I thought it was a fake or modern recreation (because it looked to shiney to be museum stuff) but it looks legit. (yeah, I'm an idiot and missed the URL above, but found same link through googling)

codenazisays...

how is that different from, say, my Violet Wand?

making a high-frequency tesla coil output a "probe" seems strange... they only have effects at the spark gap, for the most part. If you touch it, you don't notice anything at all. It's the air gap between the electrode and the target that causes the (sometimes very painful) spark.

/violet wands are fun...
//especially when you hold a body-contact probe directly, so your entire body has the ability to throw sparks

um... yeah... i'd imagine that turned up this much it would burn... as-in catch things it grounded to on fire... so, you got me codenazi... maybe its not supposed to be turned up this much personal use.
