"John Pistole, Administrator of the Transportation Security Administration, is urging passengers angry over new TSA safety measures not to boycott airport body scans during the holiday traveling season.
An internet-organized National Opt-Out Day is scheduled for Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving and the busiest travel day of the year, when angry travelers are planning to refuse to walk through body scans. The graphic scans take only a few seconds, but people who decline the process must undergo an enhanced pat down which takes much longer and can cause a huge backlog of flights.
Pistole said on Monday, ""Just one or two recalcitrant passengers at an airport is all it takes to cause huge delays."" He asked flyers not to ""tie up people who want to go home and see their loved ones.""
The TSA head has acknowledge the invasiveness of the new security measures and has pledged to review them. However, he says the TSA must balance privacy with passenger protection. Pistole also noted that only a relatively small proportion of the 34 million travelers were subject to the full pat downs since the changes have gone into effect."

The government doesn't care for the rights of Americans. Boycott and let the airliners feel it in their bottom line and they will get their lobbyist to get the TSA to back down.

You have the right to request the pat-down be conducted in a private room and you have the right to have the pat-down witnessed by a person of your choice. All pat-downs are only conducted by same-gender officers. The officer will explain the pat-down process before and during the pat-down. If you have a medical device, please inform the officer."
*Request & demand a private room.
*Request & demand a person of your choice to observe. I suggest John S. Pistole, Obama, John Boehner, or any other celebrity of your choice. They do not specify the person must be present.
*Request & demand a female to pat you down. Explain that you identify as a female, and that if a male were to touch you, they would be violating your rights. (Ladies too could do this, but in general may be less comfortable, this is also not to trivialize those dealing with gender identity issues, it is only to assist in civil disobedience in this case)
Or surrender your rights, and perform this on the way home like this gentleman.
