"Two weeks before the 2004 Presidential election, liberal filmmaker Michael Moore showed up to the reddest state in the nation... Utah. Overnight, a quiet little Mormon town was ripped apart with death threats, bribery, and lawsuits and a microcosm of the national political divide exploded in one of the most unexpected places."
(Vimeo description from director Steven Greenstreet)

im with qwiz on this....
the mind-numbing close mindedness is soul crushing in its unbelievability.we can all agree to disagree on issues, but to reject an idea out of hand due to a religious bias reveals a total lack of imagination.it not only harms us all as a society but promotes an ignorance that can be exploited by those with less than honorable intentions.
the thing i find most perplexing is these are the people that are harmed by the very people they support and they have absolutely no clue.they become enraged when this is pointed out, verbally abusive and violent at times.i used to pity such people, but not anymore, they choose to stick their head in the sand and denounce any information that is contrary to their belief system.they point the finger and shout...yet never once listen, look or think..that maybe their faith and beliefs are being used to promote an agenda that has nothing to do with their beliefs, and is in all actuality,is entirely contrary to their belief system.they have become tools for the very machine that seeks to oppress them.
ignorance is curable, stupid is forever, when will these people pull their heads out of their collective asses and reject the yoke of religious slavery?
spiritual extortion with the tag "righteousness"...
no..its not righteous,its just extortion.blatant control,manipulation by disinformation.....dumb-asses,my country is filling up with dumb-asses.

Yogisays...

I remember this trailer but I never wanted to watch the whole film. I think I watched a lot of Sean Hannity's speech though. "Here little liberal liberals" that man could get a nun to take a swing at him.

Yogisays...

Ok I found the movie on Google video and one thing that struck me is the constant use of "Anti-American." I remember reading something by Chomsky where he basically pointed out that there's no such thing as being anti-American just like there's no such thing as being anti-Italian. Calling some Italian guy anti-Italian and they'd just laugh at you, except if it was under Mussolini, then anyone against Mussolini would be called anti-Italian. It's a very totalitarian way of thinking and it's scary as hell.
